The chimney sweep is an old profession, which exists in our time, a specialist in the inspection and cleaning of chimneys, fireplaces, stoves, boilers, as well as ventilation systems.

The first mention of chimney sweeps came to our time from Denmark. Even the name of the chimney sweep, who worked in the middle of the 16th century in the palace of the Danish king, is known - it was Goodman Olsen. So, at that time this profession was considered very necessary, since the name of the royal chimney sweep was written in history. And the Copenhagen fire of 1728 made all residents carefully monitor the condition of the chimneys in their homes.

Glassblower is a master who creates products from a heated glass mass by blowing. Outgoing and therefore a rare profession.

The first glass-blowing workshops appeared in the Middle Ages, although glass itself has been known to mankind since time immemorial. In ancient Egypt, glass was made using natural soda mined in the Nile Valley. The Egyptians came up with the first glass-blowing tube - in ancient drawings, scientists discovered an image of a glass-blower blowing a round vessel.

Among the many rare professions, the most rare can be distinguished. This is the keeper of a paradise island. The need for such a profession arose when it became necessary to find a person who would be engaged in propaganda of recreation on the paradise islands. One of the travel companies was looking for a man who would live on the island in a villa for six months, swim in the pool, scuba dive, take pictures, play golf and keep his blog. After the worldwide contest, a worthy candidate was determined. The salary for six months was one hundred and ten thousand dollars. He won the position of overseer on Hamilton Island in the Great Barrier Reef and signed a contract.

There is only one female gondolier in the world - Georgia Boscolo. She works in Venice. To master this profession, which is considered only male, the Venetian passed six-month training and passed the exams. The mother of two children, Boscolo, received the license to control the gondola in 2009 (the first in 900 years).

Georgia is a hereditary gondolier, her father Dante does not quite approve of his daughter's choice, but, nevertheless, is proud of her.

Currently, over 70,000 professions officially exist in the world. There is plenty to choose from when you think about who to become! And if several tens of thousands of job seekers are recruited for one vacancy, then it is embarrassing to tell others to even the best friend. But there are those that you can only ride from laughter and marvel at what such workers do, and how could such a profession have appeared? For a warm-up, we recommend that you turn to the All-Russian classifier of workers' professions, positions of employees and tariff categories - this is a real masterpiece of bureaucratic tongue-tied languages. There you will find such minerals as, for example, “Mixer Runner Runner”, “Tail Adjuster”, “Board Polisher”, “Coat Flap Welder”, as well as “Lifter”, “Presser” and “Dolbezhnik”. In fact, these are necessary and serious professions, which, frankly, you can’t immediately see for a curious name. We found some really unusual and rare professions.

Slide 3

Let's start ... Wishmaster A wonderful and amazing profession that seemed to have descended from the pages of a children's fairy tale. All people dream of something unrealizable, and several kind (but not disinterested) guys bring their wildest fantasies to life. The lover wants to give his passion a pink elephant. The cleaning lady wants to feel like Elvis - a limousine, a stage, fans, autographs. The dream is closer than it seems - you just need to come to the company office in Chicago, discuss the implementation, and pay a tidy sum: the minimum cost of one desire is $ 150,000.

Slide 4

Iraqi resident Not too politically correct profession, or rather its name. However, advertisements for such vacancies are often found in American newspapers. "Iraqis" are recruited for military exercises in the US Army and other armed forces of the country. And I want to say that there are always a lot of people who want to be in such a role.

Slide 5

Toilet guide Two unexpected professions were presented to the world by the fourth largest (and first by the number of inhabitants) country - China. On the streets of the cities are special workers who, for a small fee of 4 cents, are ready to help all the afflicted and tell you where the nearest public toilets are.

Slide 6

Interlocutor In the cities of China, special booths appeared, which are both confessional and a psychologist’s office. In the booths there are living people who listen to everyone who wants to, and they share problems, hardships and experiences. Surprisingly, the service immediately began to enjoy wildly wide popularity, as evidenced by the figures: for a week, each professional interlocutor lets out already 10,000 residents of the country.

Slide 7

Queue-maker British researchers have found that every Englishman has stood in line for more than a year (oh, what a wealth of material for scientific research these scientists were waiting for at any Soviet deli 30-40 years ago!). After that, a company appeared in the country, whose employees stand in line instead of the British themselves, and receive at least forty dollars per hour for this simple activity.

Slide 8

Cat food taster The description of the food for your pet in advertising can cause appetite even for the owner of a purring lump: tender lamb, juicy lamb, goose liver paste, etc. Well, you can personally verify that your four-legged friend is eating the best food. This profession is for owners of strong stomachs. Before it goes on sale, cat food undergoes strict control: first, the tester must bring his face closer to the bowl of food and how to smell it in order to understand how fresh it is. During the second stage, the controller should immerse his hands in the mass and carefully test it for the presence of bone fragments in the stern. The third test is for the content of cartilage: the food is distributed on a flat surface and fingered.

Slide 9

Rammer A profession that recently appeared in the metro of large cities at the busiest stations. Strong guys help people crawl into a crowded wagon, practically pushing passengers there by force, and ousting the "superfluous" ones.

Slide 10

Penguin Turner Can you imagine a profession in which only two people work around the world? This is a profession - at the same time, perhaps, the most moving one, and has already become a byword. In the Antarctic around airfields, curious birds, staring at helicopters and airplanes, throw their heads back so often they fall onto their backs, and they themselves can’t get out of this position. So a good man walks after take-off or landing, and helps the unfortunate penguins roll over on their stomachs, and then they themselves do a great job.

Slide 11

Catcher Ants. The ant catcher should catch the best individuals in the anthill, which later will serve to continue the genus on artificial ant farms.

Slide 12

Egg breaker. The main duty of the worker in this profession is to separate the proteins from the yolks using a special machine in which he must put whole chicken eggs.

Postman One of the endangered professions in the modern world is the postman. Now, when it is possible to send an e-mail, the need for paper messages, and at the same time for those who deliver them, has practically disappeared. Those who write newspapers and magazines are becoming less and less, so the delivery of the press is not popular. In Russia, postmen also carry pensions. But it is not difficult to guess that this function will also disappear when Russian pensioners, like Western ones, receive transfers to bank cards.

Travel Agent Despite the influx of applicants into the tourist universities of the country, the profession of tour operator may soon turn into atavism. Graduates of tourism departments risk being left without prospects for employment. The fact is that the need for travel agents disappears for the simple reason that holidays have become easier to organize via the Internet, without intermediaries. Already now you can book a room on the hotel’s website without resorting to travel agencies. Many vacationers also prefer to buy plane tickets over the Internet.

Printing worker Soon, printing workers, if they do not disappear completely, their ranks will become much thinner. First of all, printing workers and printers will suffer. This is due to the fact that more and more people prefer books in electronic format. There is no need to spend money on expensive prints and put up numerous volumes at home. Endangers are also at risk of extinction. Paying a person to search for errors in texts is becoming less and less profitable, since now speller programs can do this. The only thing that keeps the profession afloat is the imperfection of such programs.

Seller Already now, the previously widespread profession of a seller is considered to be disappearing in Europe and America. This is due primarily to the growing popularity of online stores. In Russia, the e-commerce industry is still much less developed, but analysts are predicting a great future for network “couch shops”. This means that many trade workers will have to retrain in the near future.

Draftsman If earlier departments were engaged in the construction of plans, graphs, charts, tables and drawings, today many computer programs successfully cope with this work. Architects, engineers and designers can now do all the necessary calculations using a computer. The need to draw lines with a pencil on a paper also disappeared, now all the lines will be drawn by a professional program.
