The Shop of Joy is the first Russian charity store, which opened in 2012 thanks to Katya Bermant, director of the All Together and Children's Hearts organizations. Project staff take away any items, except those that are already considered garbage. They accept gifts of clothes, books, toys, old and broken household appliances, dishes and furniture.

Then things are dismantled in the warehouse, dishes are washed, clothes are sorted and disinfected by quartzing, shoes are cleaned, equipment (if possible) is repaired, and books are sorted into categories.
