And best of all, if the gift is not only beautiful, but also useful.

Therefore, we will make souvenir soap!

The most useful and best soap is handmade, because you know exactly what it consists of. All components that cause allergies in you or your child can be eliminated right in the process of creating fragrant pieces.
Making soap is not only an exciting and creative process, but also an opportunity to get a cleanser with the properties that your skin needs.

Handmade soap is the maximum of natural ingredients and the aroma that you like.

How to become a soap maker?

You will need:

Plain white baby soap. You can take a soap base, which is sold in specialized stores for hand-made goods. It is transparent and matte.

Soap molds. Children's sand molds or cookie cutters are suitable.

Fatty oil (can be olive).

Flavoring.

Dye.

Additives on request.

Process:

1. The form. You can pour the soapy semi-finished product into anything. Of course, you can purchase a special plastic mold from a craft store. But it’s easier and more interesting to use improvised molds, these can be children’s molds for sand or plasticine, and cups for yogurt or cottage cheese, even milk cartons will do. But if there are silicone molds for baking cupcakes or cookies, you can use them, they are most convenient for beginners.

Soap base

2. Baby soap or commercial soap base should be cut into cubes and melted in a water bath. Be careful, the melted soap base should not boil. It is better to be nearby and periodically stir the base.

fatty oil

3. For every 100 grams of melted soap base, add 1/3 teaspoon of fatty oil. Be careful if you add too much, the finished soap will not lather.

Dyes

4. To give the soap a beautiful color, dyes are needed. All dyes are divided into dry, liquid, pigments, pearls. In addition to ready-made dyes, you can take natural ingredients - coffee, chocolate, colored spices ...

Dry dyes must first be dissolved in water and then added with a pipette to a soap solution, evaluating the intensity of staining.

Liquid dyes are added undiluted, 1-10 drops per 100 g of soap. You can mix them together to create your own shades.

Mother-of-pearl is a variety of sequins, glitters, which will give the soap a more festive and elegant look. Can be used with any of the other types of dyes.

Flavors

5. Soap should have a pleasant aroma. To do this, either essential oil (3–7 drops per 100 g of base) or water-based flavors (3–4 drops per 100 g) are added to the soap.

Be careful! Do not mix essential oils and fragrances. Spoil the entire product with an unpleasant odor.

But different essential oils can be mixed in one soap, as well as different flavors.

By the way, essential oils have their own properties that can and should be used.

For example, the essential oil of orange and ginger leads to a cheerful state, but the essential oil of lavender, on the contrary, calms. Additionally, lavender essential oil has antimicrobial properties. Its components are actively used in the creation of cosmetic ointments to combat acne and acne. Therefore, such soap can be quite given to a teenager.

Outcome

6. When you have mixed the liquid soap base with all the ingredients, you need to pour it into molds and cool in the refrigerator or just at room temperature.

Attention! You can only take out the soap when it has completely cooled down.

If the soap does not want to get out of the mold, just leave it in the mold for a few days. In heat, the soap will dry out, and it will be easy to get it.

So, how to make New Year's soap with your own hands?

To get started, stock up on everything you need:

  • basis. It can be white or transparent, you can buy it in any department of goods for creativity. You can replace the white base with regular (unflavored) baby soap.
  • Molds.
  • Scales. They are needed if you are not a supporter of doing everything “by eye”.
  • A container for melting the base - any iron bowl or ladle, and a saucepan for creating a water bath, as well as a stirring stick.
  • Alcohol in a spray bottle.
  • Fillers: cosmetic oil, fragrance, and dyes (in particular, dry pigment and two spoons (or mortar) for rubbing it). In our case, a pigment of blue and silver shades will be used.
  • Tassel.
  • Toothpick.
  • A snowflake mold or template, as well as a sharp knife and a plank for cutting it out.

It is most convenient to work with silicone molds that are used for baking. You can take both plastic and plastic ones - for example, molds for sand. As a last resort, you can use one large mold and then cut the soap into cubes.

First of all, we will work with a white base. We take 25 grams, melt in a water bath or in the microwave.

Add a drop of fragrance.

Pour into a mold and sprinkle with alcohol to remove bubbles. We leave to freeze.

In the meantime, take 40 grams of a transparent base and melt it.

Pour the crushed blue dye into a small amount of the melted base. We will get a concentrated tinted base.

Then we dissolve the concentrate in the rest of the molten base.

Add flavoring. We mix.

Scratch the frozen white base with a toothpick. This is necessary so that the layers adhere more firmly to each other.

Pour the blue mass on top.

While the mass hardens, we again take a little white base, melt it and use a mold to shape it.

You can do otherwise - pour the base onto a flat surface, put a template on top and cut a snowflake with a sharp knife.

Using a knife, remove the snowflake from the board.

We carefully remove all unnecessary. We will get very beautiful soap snowflakes.

We melt a little more white base, do not forget about the flavors. Pour the melted mass over the blue.

Cut off one side of the snowflake. Glue the snowflake to the white base until it is frozen.

Scratch the blue surface with a toothpick.

We pour the rest of the white base.

While it has not frozen, with a spoon we give its surface an interesting winter relief.

Using a brush, we emphasize the relief with a silver dye.

When the soap hardens, carefully remove it from the mold.

So we made New Year's soap with our own hands! can be considered completed.

This work is interesting because you can change the shape, color and aroma of soap at your own discretion, choosing for everyone what he likes the most.
