1. General Provisions
1.1. The position "Lead Occupational Safety Engineer" belongs to the "Professionals" category.
1.2. Qualification requirements - complete higher education in the relevant field of study (master, specialist). Work experience as a labor protection engineer of the 1st category - at least 2 years.
1.3. Knows and applies in activities:
- Law of Ukraine "On labor protection";
- legislative and regulatory legal acts, methodological materials on labor protection issues, the main technological processes of production of the company's products;
- methods for studying working conditions at workplaces;
- organization of work on labor protection;
- system of labor safety standards;
- psychophysiological requirements for workers based on the category of work severity, restrictions on the use of labor of women, adolescents, workers transferred to light work;
- features of the operation of the equipment used at the enterprise;
- rules and means for monitoring the compliance of the technical condition of the equipment with the requirements for safe work;
- advanced and domestic experience in labor protection;
- the procedure and timing of reporting on the implementation of labor protection measures;
- fundamentals of economics, organization of production, labor and management;
- the basics of labor legislation.
1.4. The leading occupational safety engineer is appointed and dismissed by order of the organization (enterprise / institution).

1.7. During the absence, the leading occupational safety engineer is replaced by a person appointed in accordance with the established procedure, who acquires the appropriate rights and is responsible for the proper performance of the duties assigned to him.
2. Description of work, tasks and duties
2.1. Carries out control over the observance in the divisions of the enterprise of legislative and other normative acts on labor protection, over the provision of established benefits and compensation to employees for working conditions.
2.2. Studies working conditions at workplaces, prepares and submits proposals for the development and implementation of more advanced designs of enclosing equipment, safety and interlocking devices, and other means of protection against the effects of hazardous and harmful production factors.
2.3. Participates in inspections, surveys of the technical condition of buildings, structures, equipment, machines and mechanisms, the efficiency of ventilation systems, the state of sanitary devices, sanitary facilities, collective and individual protection of workers, determining their compliance with the requirements of regulatory legal acts on protection labor and when violations are detected that pose a threat to the life and health of workers or may lead to an accident; takes measures to stop the operation of machinery, equipment and the performance of work in shops, at sites, at workplaces.
2.4. Together with other divisions of the enterprise, it carries out work on attestation and certification of workplaces and production equipment for compliance with labor protection requirements.
2.5. Participates in the development of measures to prevent occupational diseases and accidents at work, improve working conditions and bring them to the requirements of regulatory legal acts on labor protection, and also provides organizational assistance to implement the developed measures.
2.6. Supervises the timely conduct by the relevant services of the necessary tests and technical inspections of the condition of equipment, machines and mechanisms, compliance with the measurement schedules for the parameters of hazardous and harmful production factors, compliance with the instructions of the state supervision and control bodies for compliance with the current norms, rules and instructions on labor protection, labor safety standards in the production process, as well as in the projects of new production facilities and reconstructed ones, participates in their acceptance into operation.
2.7. Takes part in the consideration of the issue of compensation by the employer for harm caused to employees by injury, occupational disease or other damage to health associated with the performance of their labor duties.
2.8. Provides methodological assistance to the divisions of the enterprise in compiling lists of professions and positions, in accordance with which employees must undergo mandatory medical examinations, as well as lists of professions of positions, in accordance with which, based on the current legislation, compensation and benefits are provided for difficult, harmful or dangerous working conditions; during the development and revision of instructions on labor protection, enterprise standards of the system of labor safety standards; organizing instructions, training and testing the knowledge of workers on labor protection.
2.9. Conducts introductory briefings on labor protection with everyone who is hired, comes on a business trip, pupils and students who have arrived for industrial training or practice.
2.10. Participates in the drafting of the "Labor Protection" section of the collective agreement, in the investigation of industrial injuries, occupational and occupational diseases, studies their causes, analyzes the effectiveness of preventive measures to prevent them.
2.11. Carries out control over the organization of storage, distribution, washing, dry cleaning, drying, dedusting, degreasing and repairing special clothing, special footwear and other personal protective equipment, the state of safety devices and protective devices, as well as the correct spending of funds allocated for the implementation of labor protection measures.
2.12. Prepares reports on labor protection in accordance with the established forms and in the appropriate time frame.
2.13. Knows, understands and applies the current regulatory documents related to his activities.
2.14. Knows and complies with the requirements of regulatory enactments on labor protection and the environment, complies with the norms, methods and techniques for the safe performance of work.
3. Rights
3.1. The Lead Occupational Safety Engineer has the right to take action to prevent and eliminate the occurrence of any violations or non-conformities.
3.2. A leading occupational safety engineer has the right to receive all social guarantees provided by law.
3.3. A leading occupational safety engineer has the right to demand assistance in the performance of his duties and the exercise of rights.

3.6. The Lead Occupational Safety Engineer has the right to request and receive documents, materials and information necessary to fulfill his job duties and management orders.

3.8. The Leading Occupational Safety Engineer has the right to report all violations and inconsistencies identified in the course of his activity and make proposals for their elimination.
3.9. The leading occupational safety engineer has the right to familiarize himself with the documents defining the rights and obligations for the position held, the criteria for assessing the quality of the performance of official duties.
4. Responsibility
4.1. The leading occupational safety engineer is responsible for non-fulfillment or untimely fulfillment of the duties assigned by this job description and (or) non-use of the granted rights.
4.2. The leading occupational safety engineer is responsible for non-compliance with the internal labor regulations, labor protection, safety, industrial sanitation and fire protection.
4.3. The Lead Occupational Safety Engineer is responsible for the disclosure of information about the organization (enterprise / institution) related to trade secrets.
