What is an airbrush and how to use it correctly? How to Choose the Right Quality Airbrush Airbrush Styles

What is airbrushing in essence?

Airbrushing is a technique for applying an image to the surface of a car, snowboard, mobile phone, etc. Drawing a picture occurs with the help of the so-called air brush - airbrush.

An airbrush is a pen-like tool that sprays paint onto a surface using compressed air. This allows the artist to perform drawings with the finest elements.

With the help of the method of smooth transition of one color to another, the airbrush technique can produce a mixture of one or more colors. The airbrush allows the true artist to apply images to surfaces with photographic realism.

What makes car owners decide to do airbrushing?

Firstly, the airbrush pattern on the car makes it unique and exclusive. Stand out from the crowd of motorists and at the same time do not break the rules, do not endanger yourself and other road users by doing tricks, what could be better?

Secondly, the drawing is able to emphasize the design and model of the car, as well as the character and style of the owner, to demonstrate his own taste. On such a car, you no longer want to drive headlong, on the contrary, you want to drive sedately so that everyone can see the beauty.

Well, and thirdly, a more practical reason is that the airbrush pattern also becomes an anti-theft tool, since few people dare to steal a car that is easy to recognize, and body parts cannot be sold.

In addition, airbrushing is another art form that allows you to make a car not only unique, but at the same time demonstrate to others your success. After all, drawings are not made from a bad life. If you contact a prestigious studio, they will be able to show you a catalog of ready-made sketches. But a real artist is always ready to bring your drawing to life.

And yet, not many dare to make a drawing on their car, but those who take this step cause admiration and envy among others. Always!

Turnaround time usually ranges from five days to three weeks. It all depends on the complexity of the drawing. First of all, you need to choose a drawing, because the image should not only please the customer, but also suit the car, otherwise airbrushing will exist, as it were, separately from the car.

How much does airbrushing on a car cost?

The price also depends on the complexity and size of the image. After the sketch is approved, the master will begin to prepare the surface. The presence of scratches or dents on the surface will affect the quality of the pattern. The surface must be smooth.

After the surface is ready, the master will apply the drawing. The pleasure is not cheap, but it's worth it. Few things compare to the pleasure of owning an exclusive, beautiful, highly individual car that no one else has. That's what airbrushing is.

In the process of activity, various categories of craftsmen are faced with the need to carry out fairly accurate painting work. For example, applying thin layers or processing small surfaces. At the same time, it is important for artists not only to be able to work with small amounts of paint, but also to achieve high detail, accurately drawing thin lines and not encountering streaks. The spray gun is not able to offer such opportunities. Therefore, it is worth choosing an airbrush in order to solve both subtle artistic and various additional design tasks with great convenience.

Technically, if we consider a purely engineering solution, an airbrush is no different from an airbrush. There are all the usual for a mechanic-painter functional nodes:

  • compressor;
  • underwater hose;
  • container for paint;
  • means of adjustment;
  • starting elements and equipment.

At the same time, the airbrush is a device for, above all, fine work. The volumes of applied paint are insignificant, the main difference from the spray gun is the small spot size and the minimum thickness of the formed layer.

The airbrush differs from the airbrush by the presence of nodes that are directly responsible for the variability in the nature of staining. This interchangeable nozzle with different diameters, as well as an adjusting needle that changes the flow of the working fluid. In addition, the feed change system has higher accuracy and sensitivity. Unlike a spray gun, the device operates with small volumes of paint and air flow.

The purpose and capabilities of the airbrush

Despite its small size, the airbrush is needed by a fairly wide audience of consumers, as it can solve a large number of tasks. With it, paint almost photographic quality paintings with fine details. The device can be used by designers in purely painting work, for painting small areas, creating edging. In principle, a special airbrush gun with a low compressor capacity successfully copes with the last list of tasks. However, having one fairly versatile tool is always more convenient.

The functional purpose of the airbrush, first of all, depends on the nozzle with a nozzle. Its diameter directly speaks of the work that can be done with high efficiency.

  1. Nozzle 0.15 to 0.18 mm allows you to draw very thin lines, detail the image, create highly artistic products.
  2. Diameter 0.2 to 0.3 mm is considered the most suitable for the average type of work. With such a nozzle, it is easy to create fairly small details and at the same time work with paint on the area, applying uniform layers.
  3. Nozzle 0.4-0.6 mm work over a large area. This is a useful tool for wall painters interested in creating borders. A model with a thick nozzle is successfully used for applying varnishes, primers. Such a pneumatic assistant will allow you to decorate the edge of the stairs and steps, quickly and conveniently carry out other, fairly delicate work that is difficult to do with a brush and impossible with an airbrush.

It is according to the characteristics of the nozzle that the main analysis is made before buying a particular product.

Important! Models that allow the use of different nozzles are very popular. A professional airbrush, for example, necessarily comes with several interchangeable nozzle heads with different outlet diameters.

Adjustment needle- Another part of the design that expands the functionality. By moving it to the edge of the nozzle or pushing it back, it is easy to change the amount of paint supplied, achieving the desired layer thickness or overlay rate.

Advice! If possible, it is better to choose an airbrush with the finest possible adjustment of the position of the needle and reliable fixation of its position.

Types of airbrushes

With fine work, the consistency of the paint, the characteristics of the compressor, and the available adjustment mechanics play an important role. Beginning artists will also benefit from the ability to mix paints separately, achieving the desired color and, if necessary, conducting a test coating of the surface. It is according to the usual mechanics and nature of the work, as well as personal preferences, that the choice of an airbrush is made.

An airbrush with a compressor is a fairly large segment of products on the market that differ in design features. One model will work well with liquid paint, the other will do well with a thick composition. Airbrushes come with various control and start-up schemes.

Flow and lockable

The main difference between different models is in the type of start control. Flow air gun does not have its own means of adjustment. The air supply from the compressor occurs at the moment of its start-up. The operator presses the pedal, after which the supply of the ink-air mixture immediately begins.

lockable models more functional. First of all, they give greater freedom of action and comfort when doing work. The air supply from the compressor begins after pressing the trigger on the air gun. In addition, lockable devices often have a system for regulating the flow and consumption of paint.

Internal and external mixing

The paint in the airbrush can be mixed directly inside the device case. In this case, underwater tubes are used. In this way, accurate dosing, uniformity of the characteristics of the ink-air mixture is achieved. This type of airbrush is called internal mixing. It offers precision, flow control with a needle, other options, including different ink mechanics. Such a device is quite complex and expensive.

Devices external mixing differ in a simple design and are shown to novice artists. The paint in them is sprayed immediately after flowing out of the container, due to the capture of air from the compressor. In terms of mechanics, external mixing models are very similar to spray guns, with a large nozzle diameter they are an ideal tool for painting backgrounds or areas of a large area.

Airbrush Single Action External Mix

Single, double acting

Freedom of adjustment is another criterion by which an automatic airbrush or other model is selected. Devices differ in the offered possibilities.

single action means the adjustment of only one parameter of the air-ink mixture. It can be done with air flow. The pistol grip is equipped with a mechanism that changes the feed. You can get either a small dye consumption for gentle work in a thin layer, or an intensive one for action on large areas.

Important! With ink flow control, it is easy to change the ink intensity, which is convenient for people who prefer to move the tool handle at a nearly constant speed.

Double dependent action means a simultaneous change in the flow of paint and air. One control allows you to work with small parts at a minimum supply, or cover a large area with an increase in the volume of air-ink mixture passing through. In both cases, its characteristics are practically unchanged. Only the feed per unit of time is regulated.

The device provides the most opportunities independent double acting. In this case, the regulator changes the ink and air supply separately. This allows you to select the concentration and volume of the finished mixture. Moving the control handle down - the operator increases the air flow, moving forward, backward - changes the amount of paint supplied.

Feed types

Airbrushes differ in the type of paint supply to the mixing zone. When choosing a model with a certain mechanics, you should focus on the types of paints that you will have to work with more often.

Siphon feed

This is a classic of the genre, a simple design built on Bernoulli's law. The paint container is located at the bottom of the handle. When air is supplied, the flow through a thin nozzle passes directly over the end of the lifting ink tube. The pressure in this zone drops sharply, forcing the consumable to rise up.

Important! Most airbrushes are built on this principle, it is also used in amateur airbrushes without a compressor, the air source for which is a rubber bulb.

Gravity-feed airbrush is capable of work with paints of medium fluidity. It uses two mechanics at once. Paint comes under its own weight from a container located above the handle. Additionally, Bernoulli's law works due to the action of a rapidly moving air stream.

Hybrid feed

Hybrid feed uses overpressure. It can be either a siphon type with a lower location of the paint container, or with an upper handle reservoir. Airbrushes with this type of feed can work with very dense colors. With hybrid mechanics, the forces acting on the paint are greatly increased. To the Bernoulli effect, the mass of the consumable is supplemented by an external pressure many times greater than atmospheric pressure.

A set of equipment for airbrushing

When performing the necessary work, artists do not always have a source of energy, an alternating current network. Therefore, the airbrush is considered as a separate set of equipment that can operate from cylinders. Both small, low-pressure, and massive containers with compressed gas can be connected to it.

Suggested turnkey solutions- airbrush with compressor - more convenient for beginners. They maintain the necessary balance between the maximum supply of the supercharger and the capabilities of the atomizer, as well as other system parameters. However, the list of functions of such kits is quite modest. Professional designers prefer to assemble their own set of components and equipment.

Airbrush pistol grip

This is the main executive body of the system. The airbrush is selected according to a variety of criteria, which are partially described above. An important role is played by the size of the block, its mass, the location of regulators, paint containers, hose supply and other design characteristics.

This element performs several functions at once:

  • limits the maximum pressure for the airbrush;
  • allows for quick adjustments;
  • is responsible for the overall maximum productivity, the volume of the formed ink mixture per unit of time.

Important! The metal pressure regulator is indispensable when working with gas cylinders as a source of air for an airbrush.

This node retains unwanted moisture coming from the compressor. This ensures the stability of the parameters of the ink mixture, guarantees optimal adhesion and flow characteristics of the applied layer. A moisture trap is a guarantee that unnecessary splashes or blots will not occur on the surface.

Reducer

A node that provides the comfort of the work of the performer and ease of adjusting the parameters of the incoming air. It performs several functions:

  • regulates and measures pressure, for which it is equipped with a pressure gauge;
  • carries out fine removal of moisture;
  • stabilizes the flow, neutralizes pressure surges generated by compressors.

The device has small dimensions and weight, it is installed directly between the hose and the handle of the airbrush, constantly within the reach of the operator.

The main thing that an artist should have at his disposal is freedom of action and maneuverability. Therefore, the choice of a supply hose for an airbrush is given great importance. They must be durable, made of rubber with a nylon braid or special plastic.

Advice! Most of the options on the market today are coiled hoses. However, practice shows that in the process of work they tend to twist. Therefore, the best choice is a simple line hose with a length that is convenient for this or that project.

The last device in a set of equipment for airbrushing can be oil filter. It will only be needed by decorators who use screw or other types of compressors that allow oil droplets to enter the air outlet path. The filter guarantees their removal, and the absence of influence on the characteristics of the ink mixture.

Conclusion

The airbrush is a fairly new tool for most designers, but it is showing growing popularity. It must be chosen carefully, taking into account all the features of use. An incorrectly chosen model will not only not satisfy the needs of the owner, but can also cause great disappointment. Otherwise, a good airbrush will have a reserve of functionality and will allow the artist not only to reveal his abilities, but also to acquire new skills.

Recently, a lot of technical innovations have appeared that make our life more interesting. What are plasma TVs with Internet access, 3d printing services, acoustic visualizers and other wonders of technology. However, some of the technical devices that exist today cannot be called novelties, because they are of ancient origin, although they look very modern. Airbrush is one such device.

What is an airbrush? Origin of the airbrush

Airbrush - a special tool for painting on various surfaces by spraying paint with a stream of air. Back in the 18th century, the airbrush was used to create full-fledged paintings. Initially, airbrushes created a single-color pattern, and only the color that was loaded into the device. A little later, the atomizer was improved, and a full range of colors could be used.

The airbrush is a tool for creating airbrush drawings. The first airbrush in the modern sense of the word appeared in 1893. Its inventor was a dentist from the USA - Charles Burdick. In addition to his profession, he was fond of watercolor painting. To improve his airbrush, C. Burdick tested various paint application techniques. He even invented a device that had to apply several layers of paint to give the image a glossy and perfectly even surface. And he succeeded in this invention. A little later, C. Burdick patented his invention and drew several pictures using this device.

However, like all inventors, he was not recognized in his "fatherland". No matter how hard Burdick tried to justify and improve his apparatus, his work was not accepted by the Academy of Arts. The classics of painting refused to accept the airbrush technique as real art. However, the author of the invention did not despair, and after some time he opened his own airbrush factory in England, giving it the name "Fountain Brush", which means "ethical brush".

More than 2.5 centuries have passed since the invention of the airbrush, but the airbrush technique has not only not disappeared, but continues to develop and improve. Airbrush artists invent new paints for the airbrush, improve their skills on new facets of painting: computers and laptops, phones and cars. Airbrush drawings are becoming more colorful and compositionally thought out.

Thus, the invention of the airbrush became a new milestone in the development of artistic art, which led to the emergence of unique techniques for creating an artistic image.

If you are seriously interested in airbrushing, sooner or later you will have to think about choosing and acquiring a high-quality and efficient airbrush, with which you can create beautiful images with a variety of effects. Both professional and novice artists are interested in how to choose an airbrush that combines all the best functional properties.

Currently, these electric tools are presented in a fairly wide range, so it is quite difficult to make the right choice. But nevertheless we will try to deal with this difficult task.

What to consider when choosing first

First you need to understand what exactly is an airbrush. This pneumatic tool is also called a paint spray gun, or a mini spray gun. It is designed to create images on various types of surfaces, by means of pneumatic spraying: an air stream at a pressure exceeding atmospheric pressure is passed through a narrow hole.

Since the paint gun belongs to the category of tools designed for painting, its choice should be approached in much the same way as the choice of brushes. However, if, when choosing a brush, we pay attention to the shape, size, and type of bristles, then in this case the most important role is given to such components as the needle and nozzle. It is necessary to pay attention to what diameter they have.

The airbrush nozzle must have a diameter of at least 0.15 mm. As for the maximum diameter of this element, it can be 0.6 mm.

It is important to consider that different types of artwork require an airbrush nozzle with different diameters:

  1. For the finest lines and highest image detail, a nozzle diameter of 0.15 to 0.18 mm is required;
  2. A nozzle with a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3 mm is the most common and widely used option due to its versatility. Such nozzles are quite suitable for various purposes, in particular, for drawing small clear details, as well as for coloring the background on relatively small surfaces.
  3. If you plan to perform artwork that is of a significant scale, it is recommended to use an airbrush nozzle with a diameter of approximately 0.4-0.6 mm. Moreover, such devices are often used to apply varnish or special primers to various types of surfaces.

Following the advice of professionals, it is best for beginner artists to use an airbrush nozzle with a diameter of 0.2 to 0.3 mm. If there is a need to use devices with smaller diameters, it is important to choose finely dispersed paints of the highest quality for them - otherwise there is a risk of distortion of the pattern, as well as failure of the device.

Principle of operation and selection criteria

Before choosing an airbrush, it is important to determine what you need it for and what criteria to look for:

  1. Technical parameters of the device. These include: jet flow force, nozzle diameter, and some others.
  2. An important role is played by preset operating modes and their number. The cost of a quality airbrush is quite high, so it is better to choose those models that have a wide range of various functions.
  3. The most important thing when choosing a reliable tool for creating airbrush is the type and design of the mechanism designed to supply paint and some other materials if necessary.

Airbrush device

The basic principle of the airbrush is to develop a thin stream of paint material under high pressure. Consequently, the smallest particles of paint mixed with the air flow begin to move in a certain direction. They settle on the painted surface, creating a perfectly smooth and even coating layer.

To achieve the best aerosol spray, it is important:

  • very carefully select the material for working with this tool, as well as properly prepare it;
  • follow a strict order of work;
  • take into account the quality and reliability of the mini-spray gun.

Main varieties

Modern mini-paint sprayers for creating airbrushes differ in the principle of operation. They are both automatic and semi-automatic. Semiautomatic devices are characterized by independent double action, which involves pulling the trigger and then pulling it back. In automatic devices, the trigger is pulled, after which air and paint are immediately supplied.

Due to the ease and ease of use, as well as excellent functional characteristics, this type of device is suitable even for beginner airbrush lovers.

When using it, the risks of misses that can significantly spoil the picture are minimized. In addition, its application is less tiring and requires less effort.

When choosing an airbrush, also keep in mind that mini-spray guns differ in the type of mixer installed, which can be external or internal.

external mixer

Here, the two streams are mixed from the outside. Low-cost kits of such devices are ideal for beginners. Their other important differences are simple design, quick setup and ease of use. But mini spray guns equipped with an external mixer are completely unsuitable for painting miniature areas and those that are difficult to access. But to process large areas, on the contrary, it is very convenient with its help.

Internal mixer

Mini gun kits that have an internal mixer are best used for hard-to-reach areas. He paints them very carefully and with high quality. Among the characteristics inherent in such a device is far from the largest margin of safety, and therefore handling it should be as accurate and careful as possible.

It is impossible to answer the question of which of the mini-sprayers is better - with an internal or external mixer - because each of these types is intended for different jobs.

What is required for airbrushing

It is important for every person who plans to engage in airbrushing at a professional level to have an idea of what set of equipment will be required to apply beautiful, durable and high-quality drawings. This kit includes the following devices:

When choosing an airbrush, pay attention to the reputation of the manufacturer. It is best to purchase sets of these devices manufactured by leading Japanese or German companies.

Compressors are electric, diaphragm or piston. They are designed to supply air directly to the airbrush itself. It is recommended to purchase models that demonstrate low noise levels during operation.

A complete set of equipment would be incomplete without airbrush hoses. They are the connecting link between the atomizer itself and the air source.

Additional accessories are also needed - in particular, an airbrush stand, as well as an airbrush holder. With the help of a properly selected holder, the device is protected from falling. The stand for the airbrush should be made of durable materials and be simple and easy to use. Depending on the level of training, you can purchase an entry-level, basic or professional airbrush kit.

In order for an electric paint sprayer to perform its functions correctly, it is important to take into account all its characteristics: the diameter of the nozzle, the design of the paint container, the reliability of the levers. You should also correctly select a set of additional equipment, which includes an airbrush stand, hoses and other products. When creating drawings with an airbrush, it is important to take care of effective protection in the form of overalls and a respirator.

Airbrushing technique consists in applying paint to the surface with the help of an air stream. From the first time it may seem extremely difficult, but with some practice it will turn out to be quite simple to master.

For its implementation, an airbrush is needed, which allows the artist to complete the work. It is enough to press down the airbrush trigger, and the paint will be applied to the right place. By controlling its amount and air pressure, you can use the tool for a variety of jobs, from painting large surfaces to drawing the finest lines.

Airbrushing allows you to get very effective images, to create such tonal gradations and retouching quality that cannot be realized by any other technique for working with paint coatings. The mixture is applied gradually, in a thin even layer, without lines and strokes. With the help of the trigger lever, it is possible to regulate the intensity of the color according to the amount of paint used.

Materials and equipment for airbrushing

The peculiarity of airbrushing is that the paint is applied to the surface using a special mechanical device - an airbrush. It works on the principle of mixing the coloring agent with air and spraying it under pressure onto the surface of the paper. To ensure the air supply, an additional compressor is used, which creates the necessary pressure. The reliable operation of the latter largely determines the final result.

Airbrushing technology for quality work allows you to apply a variety of dyes for different types of surfaces and masks, allowing you to accurately spray paint on selected surfaces. As accessories, erasers, markers and colored pencils are used to highlight the contours for more effective images.

A good airbrush model is a device that implements separate control of the flow of coloring matter and air. All parts of the airbrush are placed inside the metal case. The paint supply can be carried out either by gravity, when the tank with the working mixture is located on top of the device, or the siphon paint supply can be implemented in it, when the container with the material is placed below.

The main part for regulating the flow is the needle. It must be precisely located in the center of the nozzle, and it is she who ensures the dosing of the amount of sprayed paint.

There is a trigger lever on the body, when pressed, the air supply valve opens and its flow is regulated.

Airbrush types

All available airbrushes can be divided into the following types.
How to apply paint:

  • with gravity feed
  • With siphon feed

How to mix paint:

  • With external mixing
  • With internal mixing

Control method:

  • Single action adjustable ink flow
  • Simple double acting, with airflow adjustment only
  • Double acting, with separate air and paint flow control

Most often, airbrushes implement the principle of internal mixing of air with a dye. But some work on the principle of a spray gun, and they have external mixing. These include most spray guns. They are mainly used to create a background or paint surface elements that do not require image clarity.

In single action airbrushes, you can only control the air flow without adjusting the amount of paint. Structurally, they can be both internal and external paint mixing.

Fixed double-acting devices are distinguished by the fact that they use the starting lever to regulate the amount of paint, while the air flow is constant. Despite this, they can be used to draw both wide and thin lines.

The most sophisticated and high-quality devices are dual-acting airbrushes with independent control of paint and air flows, where each of them can be controlled separately. In this case, the supply of the coloring mixture can be both gravitational and siphon, and its mixing can be both internal and external. This is the most versatile tool, suitable for any job.

Additional devices

An airbrush requires air to operate. Applying paint and creating an image is only possible by mixing it with air. Various devices are used to supply gas, such as:

  • compressed air can
  • Large compressed air tanks
  • Aerosol paints
  • Compressors

The compressed air canister is small and looks like an aerosol container, it is attached directly to the airbrush. Air is supplied by pressing the start lever of the latter. The main disadvantage is the small capacity, it is not designed for long-term operation, and as the air is consumed, the pressure in the can drops, as a result of which the paint stream may become intermittent, which will affect the quality of work.

Large air cylinders have a large volume, operate silently and do not require an electrical connection, have a pressure gauge that allows you to control the pressure. They can be refueled many times, but only in special workshops.

Aerosol paint is canisters with a propellant and a diluted coloring composition. Most often they are used for graffiti.

Compressors are now the main source of compressed air for airbrushing. They are usually sold complete with additional devices (pressure gauge, manual regulators, filters) to improve their performance. The capabilities of compressors are evaluated by two parameters: the volume of intake air and the maximum pressure generated. For small drawings, a pressure of two atmospheres is sufficient, for larger drawings, its higher rates are required.

To ensure uniform air supply, a receiver, or compensation tank, is needed. There are compressors in which such a tank is already built in.

Airbrush paints

Airbrushes have a small outlet (0.3 mm, no more), because of this, liquid paints are needed for spraying. The easiest way to do this is to use mixtures in bottles with a pipette, but you can work with other types of dyes, having previously diluted them in water.

Acrylic solutions are best suited for work, which form a strong waterproof film after drying. They dry quickly and do not change color, the paper does not warp when used.

Any paint can be used for an airbrush, it is only necessary after work with a strong solvent to remove traces of their use. Oily - must be diluted with turpentine before use in the tool. They are suitable for obtaining images on canvas, ceramics, wood and glass. It is undesirable to draw on paper with such paints.

Textile dyes must be resistant to detergents and water used in washing, so when they are applied, a fixative is used. The operation of such a working mixture, for example, when applied to a T-shirt, is the same as when applied to paper.

Enamel paints contain strong solvents in their composition, they are best used to apply patterns and backgrounds to models, toys and any plastic and non-porous objects, metals. To spray them when painting the surface in one color, it is best to use an airbrush.

The color of the paint depends on the pigment and the binder. Liquid watercolor, aniline and textile mixtures - transparent, enamel and oil - opaque. Acrylic paints can be both transparent and opaque. They allow you to get very clear and high-quality images. Transparent materials make it possible to increase the saturation of colors with successive layers.

Paint bases

The choice of base is determined by the type of work and the material used. To perform illustrations, works that require the display of a large number of details, it is necessary to use smooth paper, for simpler drawings, you can use coarser-grained paper.

Checking the quality of paper is very simple - you need to look at it through the light. If the surface of the sheet is smooth and even, then high-quality paper, bumps or other defects indicate its poor quality.

To perform works on painting, a canvas stretched over a frame or pasted on cardboard is used. Great for airbrush arts smooth surface woodwork. The same applies to metal, plastic, ceramic surfaces.

Working with an airbrush, bringing it into action

The airbrush is a sensitive and fragile instrument and can easily fail if used improperly. When working with it, you need to press the start lever easily. Hold the airbrush in the same way as a brush.

The case is held by the thumb and middle finger, and the button must be pressed with the index finger. This should be done smoothly by tilting it back or pressing on it until spraying begins. If you hold the airbrush incorrectly or press the trigger lever too hard, then the product will simply flood with coloring matter.

Usually, airbrush coloring compositions are sold in bottles with a pipette on the lid, which facilitates the refilling process. Some paints will have to be diluted with water. After it is poured into the tank, it is necessary to mix it with a brush. If it is necessary to use a mixture of paints, then it must be prepared separately to ensure that the desired color is obtained. You can move it into the airbrush tank with a brush.

Drawing dots allows you to gain experience in the practice of regulating the ratio between paint and air flows, as well as in determining the distance to the surface on which the working mixture is applied. When drawing them, it is necessary to gradually move the trigger lever back and monitor the spray, depending on the amount of paint and the distance of the nozzle from the sheet. To depict smooth and continuous lines, you need to work quickly so that the airbrush slides along the ruler without stopping at any points.

For the image of the background, the paint must be sprayed from a long distance. The airbrush should be kept away from the paper, the needle should be retracted to eject a large amount of the mixture. Obtaining a darker background is provided by repeated spraying of the dye.

Airbrush parts become dirty due to being in constant contact with paint. If they are not washed, the device will deteriorate. This should be done when changing the coloring composition and before use.
