ESHA elevators are similar to Oil Country elevators for heavy-duty sucker rods. The design of the elevator provides automatic fixation of the boom when it is inserted into the mouth of the elevator. Ensuring safe work with elevators is achieved by introducing a double-sided tide into the link structure, and a double-sided stop for it into the body, thereby creating a tipping moment of the required direction. A spring-loaded latch is provided for emergency holding of the sucker rods. For the purpose of convenience during operation, the latches are set in motion using either of two pairs of levers located on opposite sides of the elevator body.

Automatic sucker rod elevators, ESHA type, with a lifting capacity of 10 tons are designed to grip the sub-elevator collar and hold the sucker rod string in accordance with GOST 13877-80 with a nominal size from ШН 16 to ШН 28 during round-trip operations, drilling and repair of oil wells. Elevators are designed for use in temperate and cold climatic regions in accordance with GOST 16350-70. The placement category is the first according to GOST 15150-69.
