  • ensuring the patrol of the coastal water area, including the 200th Milny Economic Zone;
  • protection of coastal marine communications and coastal infrastructure facilities from countering the fleet forces and aviation of a likely enemy;
  • search and fight underwater boats likely enemy;
  • ensuring the conventionation of marine transportation.

To perform the appropriate functions, the ship must have high nautical qualities, sufficient autonomy of the swimming and the necessary set of weapons. Navigation and radar equipment focused on board the vessel should ensure the fulfillment of the combat task in full.

As a result, the task was tasked before shipbuilders - to create a powerful combat ship. In other words, the entire available armament complex should be installed on a small nautical platform, including artillery plants, rocket and anti-submarine weapons, anti-air defense means.

Story with Project 11611

One of the conditions that was delivered by the military sailors was to build a vessel on shipbuilding enterprises located on the Volga. It was assumed that with the successful completion of project work, newly built ships can be translated through the Volga to Baltic or to the Black Sea region. In addition, production facilities and rich experience in the design of small warships was at the collective of the Zelenodolsk design and design bureau (Republic of Tatarstan).

Design work began in 1982 on the basis of the anti-submarine shipping ships of the project 1124m with more sustainable energy transport and increased seaworthiness. Finally, the project prepared in all technical details was approved in 1987, after which the development of production and design documentation was launched on Zelenodolsky PKB. In parallel at the production facilities of the shipbuilding plant, preparation was carried out for the bookmark of the project's head ship. All bureaucratic events and wires left 2.5 years. In 2012, a new ship went to the Caspian to pass the test complex. Unlike his older brother, Tatarstan, a new ship received shock armament. The project "Cheetah" in the Russian shipbuilding is basic to create a whole series of ships belonging to the classes "Frigate" and OPV ("Defender").

Features.
Frigates of the "Cheetah 3.9" type of the project of 11661k, currently introduced into the combat composition of the fleet, differ significantly from the first ships of the series for their protection and firepower. Starting from the third ship, a modern universal RK is established, capable of performing a combat challenge for the destruction of shore and surface targets located at distances up to 300 km using high-precision missiles of several types. Design.
All project ships have a smoothopalubic architecture. To increase the survivability of the ship, its housing is divided into ten waterproof compartments. Even with the flooding of two compartments, located nearby, "Cheetahs" remain afloat, can maneuver and almost completely retain their combat capability.

As the main energy installation (GEU), two-order installation of type Codog is mounted. The full course of the ship is provided by gas turbines, each of them works on its shaft. Armament.

A little from the history of the creation of project ships 11661

Watchdow ships (Corvette) and rocket ships began to be developed at the beginning of the eighties. The development was carried out by the Zelenodolsk design bureau. In the same year, following the changes in the claims from the Navy to the project, the second project was assigned the number 11660 (and the export version - 11660E) and reclassified into a watchdog ship. Analytics of research in projects showed that the "Storozhevik" in the export version could already be in 1990, while the Soviet version could be given no earlier than two years later.

In the middle of the eighties, the requirement to equip guard ships (URR) complexes of the Uranium anti-develop missiles was put forward, which were planned to begin in 1987. According to the December decree, the Council of Ministers of the SSR Union in 1984 decided to develop guard ships on the project 11661. Squeezed projects 11661 with Motor installations Codog were completed in a year.

However, during the periods of 1995-1998, the Zelenodolskiy Design Bureau developed export projects "Cheetah" and "Geepard-3.9" for a foreign customer.

In 2001, the Navy leadership decided to hold one of the ships on the project 11661k, which was supposed to enter the Caspian flotilla with the name Tatarstan. The ship lost the armament of anti-submarine defense. It conducted a project adjustment to comply with all the requirements. In April 2002, a personnel of the crew appeared in Zelenodolsk to master the new ship.

At the same time, with the ship carried a damnation and found out that the displacement dismissed from the calculations to one ton. In July 2002, Tatarstan managed to successfully leave the Zelenodolsk shipbuilding plant to go to the Makhachkala district for testing events. The nautical test passed with a five-point excitement. Frigates of the "Geepard-3.9" type are ships of new generation. They were developed by the Zelenodeol Design Design Bureau with an existing universal basic platform. The prototype for "Geardov -3.9" was a rocket ship with the name "Tatarstan" from the project 11611, and Dagestan, the second such built domestic rocket ship, corrected at the insistence of the customer version 11611K.

"Chepada-3.9" are multipurpose ships intended for patrolling in the territorial waters and exceptional economic zones, deposits on the supervisory targets of the enemy, fire support for landing units, to ensure aircraft and anti-graded defense in convention events.

In the early 1980s, there was a need to develop a new watchdog coastal zone. He had to become a replacement for shipping ships 1124. This was due to a change in the purpose of the 10540 guard guard ships, which in the final version were to be able to replace larger guard ships of the project 1135.
