Wows aviation management. Controlling an aircraft carrier is challenging, but effective. Aircraft carrier control features

Aircraft carrier - the most extraordinary representative of the class of heavy ships in the game. It does not have serious artillery installations, but it has a deadly weapon - air groups.

A successful strategy and well-thought-out tactics can turn rival ships to pieces. Now let's talk about how to play an aircraft carrier in World of Warships.

Aircraft carrier control features

First of all, press the "1" key on the keyboard. A top view of the map will open. Here you can set a specific route that the ship will follow. If it becomes necessary to set an arbitrary route, hold down the Shift key and mark all control points on the map.

Features of air group management

To start play in World of Warships on an aircraft carrier - it is necessary to use pressing the keys "2", "3" and "4" on the keyboard.
  • To activate the fighter - press "2" or "3";
  • Torpedo bombers are controlled using the "3" or "4" keys;
  • Calling bombers - key "5".

As soon as the required air group is activated, the trajectory of movement should be set for the planes. To do this, left-click on the playing field and mark the targets on the map. If there is a need to plot a route expanded to hit several targets - hold down the "Shift" key and left-click on all strategic objects.

In order to carry out successful attacks on enemy ships, it is necessary to take care of each combat air unit. If you lose the entire air group as a whole, you can use the reserve equipment. However, this must be done wisely. After all, the emergency stock of aircraft is limited.

How to properly attack enemy ships with air groups?

In order to attack an enemy ship, you must select the desired type of air group by pressing the keys "2", "3", "4" or "5".

Torpedo attack

Select a group of torpedo bombers by pressing the appropriate key. After that, move the cursor over the opponent's ship and press the left mouse button. As a result, the active zone of action of torpedoes will be highlighted in green. The direction of the attack is easy to change, to do this, simply drag the icon along the outline of the circle.

If more precise aiming is required, then press the "Alt" key. In this mode, you can manually specify the location of the torpedo drop.

Bomber attack

We call the air group of the required type. And mark the targets on the map. The whole procedure is similar to the previous class of aircraft. Therefore, no difficulty will arise.

In order to start winning regularly and stay afloat as long as possible, you must always be in the shadows, invisible. This is very important, because the aircraft carrier is absolutely helpless when detected by enemy cruisers and destroyers. This requires thoroughly discussing tactical and strategic aspects of the upcoming battle with other members of your team.

How to fly an aircraft carrier in battle

The tactical component of an aircraft carrier is the delivery of airstrikes at long distances and the detection of the enemy at the very beginning of the battle. Since the aircraft carrier does not have sufficient artillery weapons, it is pointless to sail ahead of the enemy. It is necessary to position the aircraft carrier as far as possible on the battle map. Although the ship has significant air defense forces, it is better to request cover from allied ships. Fast destroyers, breaking through to your ship, will be able to inflict great damage on it and make it impossible for aircraft to leave the ship's deck.

Controlling an aircraft carrier as a ship is no different from controlling other ships. Having chosen an aircraft carrier, we switch to the "top" battle mode. Click LMB in the required square of the battlefield and freely hit the road. But it is much more efficient to use complex routes for movement. This can confuse the enemy if he detects you. To build a "" route for the ship, hold down the Shift key and indicate on the map the points through which the path of the aircraft carrier will pass.

How to fly planes in World of Warships

The main armament of the aircraft carrier is the squadrons located on it. Squadrons are subdivided according to the types of aircraft they carry: fighters, bombers, torpedo bombers.

Torpedo and bombing by planes follow a similar principle. There are two modes of attack by bombers and torpedo bombers: automatic and manual.

In automatic mode, after selecting a group of aircraft and pointing LMB at the intended target, they will go to attack the ship. In this case, the dotted line around the target will indicate the zone in which the planes will constantly attack the target. The arrow that appears indicates the direction in which the torpedo bombers will take a course towards the target. The approach course can be changed by right-clicking on the arrow and dragging it around the circle. The stripe that appears indicates the expected course of the torpedoes and their spread. Automatic attack is not only suitable for beginners. If the aircraft carrier is under enemy fire, then this attack option is the fastest.

When attacking in manual mode, select a group of torpedo bombers or bombers and, while holding down the Alt key, select a drop zone. With such an attack, you will be able to take into account the enemy's maneuvers, since during the automatic reset only speed is taken into account and the possibility of maneuvering is not taken into account. Also, with such an attack, it is necessary to calculate the lead-in of launching torpedoes or bombs, taking into account the speed of the enemy's movement and the point of entry of the aircraft to the target.

Fighter control in World of Warships

A group of fighters is used to detect the enemy and to conduct air battles with his aircraft. There are several missions for fighters. In order for the fighters to accompany the allied ships, you must select a group of fighters and indicate LMB on the ally.

In order for fighters to guard bombers and torpedo bombers, it is necessary to select a group of fighters and indicate the LKP to the allied group of aircraft. In this case, fighters will engage in battle only when the enemy attacks bombers or torpedo bombers.

For direct air combat, select a group of fighters, point LMB at the enemy squadron.

They are considered the most extraordinary class of technology. They are deprived of their main caliber guns, but they carry weapons on their deck that can send any ship in the game to the bottom in one run - entire air groups, represented by fighter and strike aircraft. This is a self-sufficient class of equipment capable of performing a wide range of tasks: sinking enemy ships, protecting allied equipment from enemy aircraft, providing light at any point on the map.

Control features

Many players who play for the first time on an aircraft carrier draw parallels with another formidable weapon from World of Tanks - self-propelled guns. But this opinion is erroneous, and it is based only on the similarity in the picture that the artilleryman and the avikovod see in front of him. In other aspects, there are only differences that make the gameplay on aircraft carriers unique and exciting.

Buttons 1 through 9 on the keyboard are used to control the aircraft carrier itself and its air groups. With an increase in the level, the number of air groups will increase, which will require proper microcontrol skills from the avikovod. All the necessary control commands are displayed in the interface, so figuring out which button to press is not difficult.

Typically, an aircraft carrier is assigned a route of its movement. By holding down the Shift key, you can mark up to 5 control points. The general rule for all classes of ships is that movement is life. Of course, it is sometimes useful to hide behind an island for a while, or even for the entire battle. But be prepared for the fact that if a destroyer stealthily approaches you, the chances of survival are close to zero.

We attack correctly: fighters, torpedo bombers, bombers

Based on the title, it is already becoming clear that the aircraft carrier carries 3 types of winged vehicles. It is necessary to attack enemy ships with torpedo bombers and bombers, and cover your air groups and allied ships with fighters. All three types of aircraft perform a reconnaissance function, highlighting ships on the battle screen and minimap. Details about the attack of each type of aircraft.

Torpedo attack

The priority targets for aircraft carriers are battleships. They are slow, clumsy, and their air defense weapons are in most cases ineffective. Destroyers are the hardest to attack, because they are small, fast and the most agile in the game.

There are two types of attack implemented for all aviation.

Standard - designed for quick mastering of the game on an aircraft carrier. Select a group of torpedo bombers and left-click on the enemy ship. As a result, the green zone of torpedo movement is displayed on the screen. To adjust the direction of attack, drag the icon along the outline of the circle.

Alternative attack - used for accurate aiming. In this mode, it is required to manually indicate the sector of torpedo release by pressing the Alt key. Attacking with this type is more difficult, but the effectiveness is significantly higher.

Bomber attack

The procedure is similar to the previous class of aircraft in both conventional and alternative bombing modes. To increase the chance of hitting a target, place a green bomb drop sector along the attacked ship.

Fighter attack

Air targets can be attacked by normal pressing of LMB on the enemy air group, as well as through "Alt". In the second case, a green sector of the movement of fighters will appear on the screen. Air groups that find themselves in the affected area receive heavy losses, both enemy and allied.

Keep in mind that each class of ships has a point of no return, after passing which, it will be impossible to cancel and correct the attack. The stock of air groups is also limited, so you should not approach ships with a high level of air defense.

Aircraft carrier protection

An aircraft carrier can defend itself from enemy air groups not only with fighters, but also with air defense guns. Their effectiveness varies with the tier of the ship, and starting from tier 8, the Defensive Fire consumable is available to aircraft carriers, which increases the effectiveness of AA defenses and also knocks down the sight of air groups.

In some cases, an anti-mine caliber (PMK) can protect against destroyers. You shouldn't count on him too much, because the efficiency of the auxiliary caliber is low, so a ship can only be destroyed with a secondary battery if it has a small margin of HP.

Perhaps the most specific class of ships are aircraft carriers. On the one hand, this is a very dangerous ship, and on the other, the most helpless one. For novice players it is not at all clear how to play it.

Equipment and modules

First, we prepare the ship for battle. To do this, first of all, we pump top-end aircraft. You can even, at first, not download anything else if you do not have enough experience. Next, you need to go into the equipment and buy a repair team. In the upgrade tab, select the reinforced rifle groups. They are found not only on the ship itself, like air defense, but also on torpedo bombers and bombers. In the second slot we put the air group, which strengthens the fighters, if any. If they are not, then we set the aircraft recharge. In the third slot it is better to choose the fight for survivability. It is more useful to take a camouflage that will reduce your visibility.

Combat tactics and features

When you enter the battle, you need to evaluate the features of the card and become competently. A good option is to stay behind a large island, because it will be more difficult for destroyers to throw torpedoes. They usually just quickly approach within shot range and fire a salvo at about the aircraft carrier, but in this case, the torpedoes will simply hit the island. Keep an eye on the mini-map to see in time where your and enemy planes are flying. They need to be constantly monitored. Launch fighters first. They will scout the map and protect your strike teams. You can also defend an allied ship. If the enemy has more fighters than you, then you need to bring them to your ships, preferably to the cruiser.

Aircraft control

To learn how to play an aircraft carrier in World of Warships, pay special attention to aircraft. For strike teams, the sweetest bite is the enemy, but you don't need to waste ammunition on an almost dead enemy. By the way, torpedoes must be dropped as close to the enemy as possible from the side, but so that the torpedoes have time to take off. It is recommended to first attack the enemy ship with bombs in order to cause it to fire on board. This will force him to use the repair kit. In this case, it is better to start dive bombers from the stern side. Then they will fly in the direction of the enemy's movement, which will increase the chance of hitting. After that, we attack with torpedo bombers, and the enemy gets flooded or fire again, but cannot immediately repair it. From such a combined attack, the enemy ship is free to sink. In general, you can attack the enemy at the same time in groups from both sides with torpedoes, so that he has nowhere to dodge.

Ship control

The ship itself is also a combat unit. It is advisable to move it approximately 20 km from the battle formation of allied ships. The ship is a welcome prey for enemies and is almost helpless against them in close combat. So if you are attacked, then you can get away from the attack in a cunning way: just rest on the edge of the map and drift sideways, turning the ship at an angle. This will make it harder to hit you.

Priority assignment

When enemy torpedo bombers approach you, you need to set up so that your air defense attacks them first. And if an enemy fighter is trying to shoot down our planes, then first of all it will not be able to attack. Also, you can prioritize an enemy ship to attack it with your auxiliary cannons when approaching.

Now you have learned how to correctly play World of Warships on an aircraft carrier, but remember that each individual ship has its own unique characteristics. And note that this may not be all the fun in operating an aircraft carrier, but you can uncover the rest on your own.
