The "empty" case showed approximately the same placement of all these elements, but it was intended for a representative of the entire line - P9. Now the network has "live" photos of the smartphone, and Huawei has published an official invitation to the presentation of new devices.

According to the source, there will be a premium version, which will receive the best Kirin 955 processor, 4 GB of RAM, and the built-in memory will be 64 or 128 GB. In addition, the line will also include a "lighter" model P9 Lite and an enlarged P9 Max.

If you are interested in the news of the world of technology, then you probably know about the existence of a flagship smartphone. With its 5.2-inch screen, the Huawei P9 sits very comfortably in the mid-sized palm. He did not slip out of my hands (he wiped it dry on purpose - at the stands, test smartphones could be examined and dropped as desired), and his thumb reached many important elements on the desktop.

It seems that the company's designers have paid significant attention to the ergonomics of the smartphone. It is convenient to hold it both in the right and in the left palm. All buttons in both positions are easy to find with the fingers of one hand. Even more comfort is provided by the rounded sides, which contribute to a more secure grip.

There is absolutely nothing to complain about about the Huawei P9 build. In several test samples (usually they have already seen the world, and they can be attributed to an "active lifestyle") the all-metal non-separable body was assembled without a single gap, did not emit any creaks or crunches even with strong compression of the side edges.

The main camera of Huawei P9 is a dual module with modern lenses from Leica. At the same time, each lens has its own unique matrix: standard RGB for working with color and monochrome, which does not perceive color information, but is more sensitive to light. The main camera of Huawei P9 is also two modules of 12 megapixels each, with an aperture of f / 2.2, pixel size of 1.25 microns, dual LED flash and laser focusing.

I was also interested in the built-in software for the camera. It is characterized by:

the presence of a mode of synchronous operation of both cameras, which significantly increases the elaboration of details, depth of field and color;
the presence of a function of full manual control of all parameters: from focus, white balance and aperture to ISO and shutter speed;
the ability to save RAW files;
support for post-focusing (achieved by crossing two frames from two modules taken at the same time);
4K video recording support.

And one more small, but very nice nuance - the camera module does not protrude a millimeter from the body.

The case itself is quite thin - 6.95 mm. For comparison, as it was announced during the presentation, it is thinner than two well-known flagships: Apple iPhone 6S with its 7.1 mm and Samsung Galaxy S7 with 7.9 mm.

On the whole, the device left more than pleasant impressions. However, the final verdict of Huawei P9 is still too early to make. It is worth waiting for the smartphone for the test, where we can disassemble it in more detail in all characteristics, including the capabilities of the energy-efficient but productive HiSilicon Kirin 955 system, check the battery autonomy, study the features of the 5.2-inch IPS-NEO-screen and, of course, the unique cameras.

Both gadgets have a solid metal body, their thickness is only 6.95 mm. The main model Huawei P9 is equipped with a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, a brightness of 500 nits. Also, the smartphone will receive 32 GB and 64 GB flash memory, a Kirin 955 processor with an eight-core processor (four Cortex-A72 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.5 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores) and Mali-T880 graphics and two RAM options: 3 and 4 GB. The battery capacity is 3000 mAh.

The main dual camera in Huawei P9 will receive a 12 megapixel matrix, as mentioned above, Leica optics, RGB + Mono dual flash and laser autofocus. The selfie camera will be equipped with an 8 megapixel matrix.

The large Huawei P9 Plus will receive a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with the same 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, while it will support pressure sensing technology. Like the P9, there will be two models on the market: Standard and Premium, the difference between which is in the amount of memory - 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of flash memory for the first and 4 GB and 128 GB for the second. The battery capacity is 400 mAh larger and will be 3400 mAh.

Other features of Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus include a new improved fingerprint scanner, USB-C connector, support for LTE networks and Wi-Fi (802.11b / g / n / ac). The smartphones will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with the EMUI 4.1 proprietary shell. A large number of body color options will be available: two shades of gray, two options gold, "rose gold" and ceramic white. In Russia, smartphones will most likely appear in June 2016, there is no information about the price yet.
