For some, the New Year holidays are a time for a carefree holiday, but for some, a real hot time. First of all, we are talking about retail outlets. In order not to knock on the closed doors of markets on the first day of the new year, you should find out in advance how stores work on January 1, 2019.

There are about 10,000 Magnit stores throughout Russia, and if we add hypermarkets, Magnit Family supermarkets and Magnit-Cosmetic drug stores to this number, then this is about 13,000 points. It is not at all surprising that such a number of points will work during the New Year holidays according to different schedules. Generally speaking, most markets on December 31 are available for shopping from 10 am to 9 pm. On the first day of the year, they will open at noon, some at 13:00, and on the second day of operation from 10:00 to 21:00. Specify the exact schedule in the market closest to your home of this largest trading network.

IKEA

For New Year gifts for relatives and friends, many go to IKEA. Fortunately for those who are used to buying presents at the last moment, on December 31, the Swedish brand stores are open until 6 pm, on January 1 - from 14:00 to 22:00, on the following days - as usual (check with consultants at the nearest point).

In addition to large retail chains, a large number of private outlets operate on holidays, selling essential goods, including bakery products, drinks, alcohol, etc. The schedule is compiled by the owners of such markets, so you can only find out from sellers.

Despite the fact that many stores are open on January 1, 2019, we still advise you to buy everything you need in advance. This will allow you to fully enjoy all the delights of the New Year holidays and devote time to family and friends, and not spend it shopping.
