New yota. Unlimited Internet Yota for smartphones. What Yota says

Iota is an internet provider and operator cellular simultaneously. Cross-device availability, federal coverage, and competitive rates drive subscriber growth.

What is Yota Internet?

How the provider works:

  • Yota - wireless internet (internet). Therefore, it is available not only in the apartment via a wire from the router, but also on trips. However, it should be borne in mind that the data transfer rate for a wireless connection strongly depends on the distance. base stations, weather phenomena and network congestion.
  • Each SIM card and the tariff on it are designed for a specific type of device - a smartphone, tablet or modem (router).
  • Device in automatic mode selects the type of data transfer. The provider has federal coverage, but 4G is not available in all cities, sometimes the coverage is uneven or the network is congested - then data transmission can be 3G or even 2G.

Yota sets a number of restrictions on its tariffs:

  • When using torrents (file sharing), the speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps (sometimes 64 Kbps).
  • When distributing the Internet to other devices, the speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps (sometimes 64 Kbps). The exceptions are: a new tariff for a smartphone (with limited traffic) and a tariff for a computer.
  • When using SIM cards for smartphones or tablets in other devices, the speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps (sometimes 64 Kbps).
  • No roaming for at least 30 days. Subscribers of SIM cards for tablets and smartphones can use data transfer at the price of their home region when traveling around the country. For modem users, the tariff is recalculated to the local one on the day of the change of the region of residence.

How to choose Internet from Yota (Eta)?

First of all, you need to select the device on which the data transfer will be used:

  • Smartphone,
  • Tablet,
  • Modem.

For smartphone

You will need to select the volume of monthly traffic:

  • You can use the "Data control" function ("Data transmission"), which takes into account the consumption of traffic in the smartphone. You can find this section in the smartphone settings menu.

  • You can connect unlimited social networks and / or instant messengers, then the expense for them will not need to be paid within the package.

  • If the Internet will be distributed, it is necessary to take into account the traffic consumption on all devices.
  • In case of doubt, it is better to choose a smaller package, and if not enough, then buy 5 GB for 100 rubles (it should be borne in mind that with the beginning of a new billing period, unused traffic will disappear).

For tablet

The subscriber chooses the connection period:

  • For a day;
  • For a month;
  • For a year.

For a tablet, data transfer is not limited either in speed or in volume (except for torrents and Internet distribution).

For modem

It is necessary to select the baud rate:

  • It is necessary to take into account applications that consume traffic in the background (or optimize them so as not to lose kilobytes).
  • If traffic will be distributed, take into account the needs of all devices.
  • The main factor- the type of content that the subscriber needs. To view pages in a browser, you can pay 512 Kbps (so as not to slow down, preferably 1 Mbps), for games and video - at least 3 Mbps (preferably 5-8 Mbps).

In practice, it shows itself ambiguously: it all depends on the coverage area and the density of base stations. There are regions in which the speed and stability of Iota is not satisfactory, but there are also regions where surfing in the browser turns into a real torture for subscribers.

I suffered with YOTA for 5 years, because I still could not spend MGTS for myself - I lived in rented apartments. If you choose this provider, I warn you right away: you will pay VERY much for a VERY low internet speed. I paid for 768 kbps - 500 (!!!) rubles. The speed in the normal state (if YOTA works at least more or less) is several times lower than the declared one, which is very noticeable, the Internet is really like a turtle. To illustrate, I'll just say that I could watch videos at a maximum of 360, but mostly at 240, because you can wait forever for at least 480 to load. Needless to say, now with MGTS my speed is 3 times higher than that with YOTA, and at the same time I pay 3 times less?

Further: not only is the speed of a snail, but also the modem itself works very badly. I'll make a reservation right away that everything is fine with usb connectors in my laptop. So, at the same time, if iota reacts when connecting to a laptop the first time, this is generally a great happiness. For good, within 5-10 minutes, I had to stick it into different usb connectors of the laptop and wait for the modem to deign to connect this time.

Their new modems are even worse than their old ones. Some time ago I updated the system to a poppy, so the old modem just stopped working. V service center said: oh, and we informed all our clients a hundred years ago that everything had changed with us and the old modems could not work with new poppies, and we gave out new ones for free. Meanwhile, with a REALLY LONG use of iota, NOBODY even thought of informing me about anything. It is very interesting if there is anyone at all who actually got this modem, and not in words. So, okay: their cant is that they cannot work with new software, and I have to pay for a new modem (very interesting, but okay). Minus 1500 rubles for the modem. Further, this modem does not work with my laptop, because it turned out to be a broken SIM card. Again you need to go to the service and change it. OK. At the same time, they miraculously cannot transfer the paid month from the previous modem to the new one, and they need to pay for it again. After payment, less than two months have passed since my new modem [completely] STOPPED TO WORK. Thank God I had already moved to my apartment and had a normal provider, otherwise, honestly, I could have killed them.

By the way, many can say, but usb modems work in big cities, and your MGTS is only at your home. I tried an iota while traveling in a peregrine falcon. Needless to say, she did not catch the connection? And to say that in St. Petersburg the speed was even lower than in Moscow?
That's all I wanted to say. I would NEVER advise ANYONE to use an iota. Save your nerves!

What's good about the provider

What's wrong

New mobile operator Yota develops the way most users would like it. Subscribers are offered flexible tariffs, the network has a system for making proposals, and the main advantage of the operator is that it can offer truly unlimited access to the Internet, without restrictions on the speed of traffic. Let's take a look at what Internet tariffs Iota work on the network this operator... Here we will talk about connection issues.

Yota Internet tariffs for phone

The development of communication technologies has led to the fact that we are paying more and more attention not to voice calls, but to communications via the Internet. That is why all operators, including Yota, take care of providing inexpensive tariffs for accessing the network.

Internet tariffs from Yota are good because they offer us nearly complete absence traffic limits(except for tariffs for smartphones). Moreover, if we access the Internet using a modem, then we may not pay at all for access to the network - the operator provides bonus free access at speeds up to 64 kbps... True, normal surfing is impossible at this speed, but it will be possible to communicate via Viber, Skype, ICQ and other instant messengers. If we want to connect to the network of the new operator, then we will see that there are not so many Internet tariffs from Yota. But they can be completely customized by adjusting the parameters and a set of services in your profile.

That is, Yota has realized the dream of many people - the creation of a personal tariff. However, let's take a closer look at the tariffs. Mobile Internet from Yota on a smartphone provided from January 25, 2017 with limits (unlimited for a smartphone for 240 rubles has sunk into oblivion). But there is also a plus - we get the opportunity to use traffic for free within some applications (with unlimited mobile Internet for instant messengers and social networks).

Yes, unlimited from Iota has disappeared, but mobile communication has not become less profitable. Today, the connection conditions in Moscow and the Moscow region are such that subscribers can independently configure their tariff plan - the network has a separate selection of minutes and traffic packages. Here are just some of the Yota packages:

  • 200 minutes within Russia and 2 GB of traffic - 370 rubles / 30 days;
  • 200 minutes 10 GB - 480 rubles / 30 days;
  • 800 minutes and 5 GB - 700 rubles / 30 days;
  • 5000 minutes and 15 GB - 2750 rubles / 30 days.

Alternative options are also available. In some regions there are lower prices - for example, the minimum package can be bought for 290 rubles and even for 250. Internet speed for a smartphone varies widely - up to 5-6 Mbps in the 3G coverage area and up to 10-20 Mbps in the 4G zone.

If the main traffic package implies a certain limit, then for social networks and instant messengers, unlimited service is available. Each service is connected separately - social networks cost 25 rubles / 30 days, messengers - 15 rubles / 30 days. The option "Unlimited messages" is paid separately - 50 rubles / 30 days.

How to connect Yota unlimited internet for a smartphone? It is impossible to do this - unlimited is available only on the modem. If you need a connection without traffic and speed restrictions, then you will need an Iota SIM card with unlimited Internet - such SIM cards are available from those who managed to purchase them before January 25, 2017. Today it is impossible to connect unlimited.

Tariff for tablets

If unlimited Internet for a smartphone from Yota does not work, then for tablets, he stayed. It is presented by a single, but regulated tariff. Actually, except for access to the network, it does not include anything - there are no packages of minutes and SMS. But on tablets they are often not needed, mobile voice communication is expensive here (3.9 rubles / min.). But on the tariff for the tablet, you can optimize costs:

  • 50 rubles - unlimited for one day;
  • 590 rubles - unlimited for a month;
  • 4500 rubles - unlimited for a year.

Thus, we have before us a favorable tariff for the Internet - you can download large files on your tablet, watch HD videos and enjoy high-speed surfing without bothering yourself with tedious calculations of the remaining traffic. Together with unlimited Internet, we rid ourselves of Yota's speed limits and use Internet access to the fullest.

Cons of the tariff - a possible decrease in speed under high load, there is a limitation on downloading torrents.

Tariff for modems and routers

Now consider Internet tariff from Yota for a computer... To you you need to purchase a modem, router or a whole Internet center with connectors for telephony. All of this is sold at Yota service offices. Moreover, any device can be delivered free of charge to your home or office.

What is Yota tariff(Yota) to a modem or router? Here we can choose the period for which the services will be provided - for 30 days, for 2 hours or for 24 hours. Network access on 2 hours will cost us 50 rubles, after which the speed will be limited to 64 kbps (free of charge, for any period). But the paid two hours are provided for maximum speed(Internet speed from Yota in 4G networks can reach several tens of megabits per second). The same applies to package for 24 hours, the cost of which is 150 rubles.

With regard to access for 30 days, then here we can adjust the speed access at your own discretion:

  • Full unlimited speed service - 1400 rubles / month;
  • 15 Mbps - the subscription fee will be 1350 rubles / month;
  • 12 Mbps - the monthly payment will be 1300 rubles;
  • For 10 Mbps we will pay 1250 rubles / month;
  • The speed of 9.2 Mbit will cost us 1200 rubles / month;
  • The monthly payment for 8.5 Mbit will be 1150 rubles;
  • For an access speed of 7.8 Mbit, we will have to pay 1100 rubles / month;
  • The subscription fee for 7.1 Mbit will be 1,050 rubles / month;
  • Internet at a speed of 6.4 Mbit will cost us 1000 rubles / month;
  • Having reduced the speed to 5.7 Mbit, we will pay 950 rubles / month;
  • 5 Mbps - our monthly payment will be 900 rubles;
  • 4.1 Mbps - the subscription fee for this speed is 850 rubles / month;
  • A modest 3.1 Mbps will cost subscribers 800 rubles / month;
  • If the speed is reduced to 2.1 Mbit, then the subscription fee will be 750 rubles / month;
  • For the Internet at a speed of 1.7 Mbit, we will pay 700 rubles / month;
  • 650 rubles / month - such is the subscription fee for the speed of 1.3 Mbit;
  • More than a fast 1 Mbit will cost users 600 rubles / month;
  • For 550 rubles / month we get a speed of 896 kbps, which is not much different from one megabit;
  • By dropping the speed to 768 kbps (enough for surfing), we will receive a monthly fee of 500 rubles / month;
  • For a speed of 640 kbps, you need to pay 450 rubles / month;
  • For an honest half megabyte, you will have to pay 400 rubles / month;
  • As for 64 kbps, you don't need to pay for such a speed - use Internet access for free.

Adjust your tariff as you like, changing the speed when it is convenient for you - all recalculations will be made by the network automatically. To learn how to test the speed of Yota, read a detailed review on our website.

How to connect Internet Iota

In order to connect the Internet to Yota on your phone and tablet, need to order a SIM card using an application for Android OS or iOS - the SIM card will be delivered to the specified address. In addition, we can order a SIM card using the form on the operator's website, or purchase it at the service office. Need to connect to the Internet on your computer? Then order a suitable device - router, modem or internet center... Once it's delivered, you can connect it to your computer and go online.

How to turn off the Internet Yota

In order to disconnect the Internet from Yota, you need to unbind the device in your profile by clicking on the link "Device Management". If necessary, we can link the device back and continue to use communication services. If there is a need to completely abandon communication services and withdraw money from your profile, you need to fill out an application for termination of the contract and send it to the Yota service office.

Setting up the Internet Iota on a tablet, phone and PC

Operator mobile communications and wireless internet provider Yota has done everything possible to make access to communication services as easy as possible. All devices are configured as easily and without any difficulties - more on that later. Internet settings from Yota on Android are made by creating an access point named YOTA and specifying the APN - intermet.yota. Leave the access point type by default, leave the rest of the fields blank - we don't need them. But in 99% of cases, Android smartphones and tablets are configured automatically.

The same applies to iOS devices and Windows Phone - if automatic settings are not installed, register the access point manually. As soon as everything is ready, we activate the data transfer, go to any site, wait for the redirection to the registration page and create your Iota profile there - thanks to the prompts, you will cope with this task without much difficulty.

About the same Internet from Yota is configured on the computer- we connect the modem, wait until it connects to the network, after which we go to any site, wait for the redirection to the profile creation page and register. After registration, we top up the account and use the services - the price of the Internet depends on the selected speed.

In order to turn off the Internet on Yota, abandon the current package or block the SIM card.

Iota home internet is a great way to get high-speed Internet access! Learn about all the pros and cons home internet Yota!

There is a stereotype that wireless communication is exclusively for smartphones and tablets. Wearables are literally built for 4G technology, which allows you to enjoy access to online services anywhere in the country.

However, using such a solution as an access point for a home is also not without its advantages. This is much cheaper than offers from most fiber network providers. Connection is easier: you do not need to pay extra for specialist services. Finally, Iota's unlimited home internet has no alternatives in many regions of the country. Let's get to know him better.

Home connection methods

The operator took care to satisfy the requirements of even the most discerning customers and provided a variety of ways to connect to Yota's home Internet to choose from:

  • Through a proprietary Yota USB modem. It costs about 2,000 rubles. For this money, the user receives ready-made solution: you just need to plug the device into the appropriate port and service to the subscriber's services. None additional settings not required. Add a thousand rubles - and you will get a model with the function of distributing the Internet using Wi-Fi technology;

  • You can save money by ordering just a SIM card and inserting it into your own home device. True, in this case, you will need to manually connect and register access points to personal computer;

  • Wireless router. Proprietary solution from Yota: it looks like an external battery and is designed to distribute Eta home Internet simultaneously to 8 devices. Price - 2 900 rubles;

  • Usage branded modems companies in tandem with third-party routers(there should be a “Yota Ready” sticker on the package). Such stations can provide wireless communication for private houses with a large living space.

You can become a client of the Yota operator both at a branded point of sale (you need to clarify its availability in a specific locality), and by online ordering on the official website.

Tariff policy

One of the main features of the Internet for home from the Iota provider is a clear regional specialization. In different constituent entities of the Russian Federation, you will have to pay different money for a set of the same services - this is how the company takes into account the inequality in income in our country. We can assume that wealthy regions “subsidize” the poor to some extent.

Here are the tariffs for the Iota home Internet operating in the territory Moscow and Moscow region:

Cost (for 30 days) Speed, mb / s
1 400 No limits
1 350 15
1 300 12
1 250 10
1 200 9,2
1 150 8,5
1 100 7,8
1 050 7,1
1 000 1000
950 5,7
900 900
850 4,1
800 3,1
750 2,1
700 1,7
650 1,3
600 1,0

We did not consider cheaper home tariffs for very slow connections because of their small practical importance.

Connecting the operator's services immediately for a year allows you to save almost 50% of the cost. So, 12 months at maximum speed will cost only 9,000 rubles, or 750 rubles. per month.

You can also activate the service for just a day (150 rubles) or 2 hours (50 rubles). In both cases, it is provided with no speed limit.

The brand is well known to Russians for the first Russian personal device Yota Device, while one moment is missed.

The main task of the developers was to propose a new model operating on two promising wireless standards WiMAX and 4G LTE within the framework of the latest telecommunications infrastructure. In the first case, we are talking about the development of the Wi-Fi standard and a more advanced version of the technology that provides a larger coverage radius than Wi-Fi. 4G LTE is new standard high-speed mobile radio communication, focused primarily on access to mobile and global network smartphones, laptops and tablets, which are still little offered by other mobile operators.

Choice of tariffs for smartphones and for PCs upon entering Personal Area Iota

The company offered interesting tariffs for a smartphone, which, on the one hand, can be personally selected depending on the needs for high-speed traffic, on the other hand, they make it possible to use unlimited and free services that do not require additional connection.

Yota plans (like those of other operators) are designed for a different number of minutes of calls and traffic quota. Unlike other companies, where only subscribers have access to 4G networks under corporate agreements, in Yota the service is available to all private subscribers. At the same time, the cost of the package is comparable to the offers of other providers.

Packages offered:

  • Yota 300 minutes (5 GB);
  • Yota 500 minutes (10 GB);
  • Yota 1500 minutes (15 GB);
  • Yota 1200 minutes (20 GB).

Please note that rates are valid throughout the territory Russian Federation, and not just in the home region, which eliminates the need to track costs when moving from your city to another region.

Please note that the Yota tariff is calculated for the latest generation mobile devices - only for smartphones, when using other devices with cards of this plan, the speed will be limited by the operator.

Convenient and inexpensive tariffs Iota for tablets

A distinctive feature of Yota from the offers of other providers is the development of adapted tariff plans for connecting certain types of subscribers' devices to the mobile network, along with 2G telephony. On the official website, a special tariff package is also offered to tablet owners.

For Yota, Internet tariffs are a key service based on a new telecommunications infrastructure focused on connecting personal devices. For the convenience of tablet users, the provider offers packages with daily, monthly and annual tariffs at the following rates:

  • 1 day - 50 rubles;
  • 1 month - 590 rubles;
  • 1 year - 4500 rubles.

If you are interested in choosing an excellent provider that will provide you with fast mobile Internet, Iota with unlimited tablet access plans is your choice. A SIM card for devices supporting LTE will cost an additional 300 rubles.

Adaptive tariffs for modems and PCs - customize the work as you see fit

Yota offers you quality traffic with high speed Internet access for home, office and personal PCs. A SIM card can be installed in a wireless router, to which it will also be possible to connect home and office computers, TVs, video cameras, automation devices. For these purposes, the provider offers to purchase and connect a compatible modem.
