Signs of networkholism: an obsessive urge to constantly check email; anticipation of the next online session; increased time spent online; an increase in the amount of money spent online. Dependence on computer games (cyberdiction) It is divided into groups depending on the nature of a particular game: 1) Role-playing computer games (maximum escape from reality). 2) Non-role computer games (striving to achieve the goal - to complete the game, the excitement of achieving the goal, gaining points). The main types of computer addiction

Dynamics of computer addiction From the beginning of hobby there is a stage of a kind of adaptation, a person “gets a taste”, then a period of sharp growth, rapid formation of addiction begins. As a result of growth, the value of dependence reaches a certain maximum point, the position of which depends on the individual characteristics of the personality and environmental factors. Further, the strength of dependence remains stable for some time, and then declines and again is fixed at a certain level and remains stable for a long time.

Causes of computer addiction The more psychological barriers a child has in everyday real life, the faster and deeper he will plunge into virtual reality Character traits Lack of attention and understanding from loved ones Features of upbringing and relationships in the family Consequence of diseases

    Signs of computer addiction When parents ask to be distracted from playing on the computer, the teenager expresses a strong reluctance to do so; if, nevertheless, the child is distracted from the computer, then he becomes very irritable; the child is unable to plan the time when he will finish playing on the computer; the child spends a lot of money to update programs on the computer and acquire more and more new games; a teenager forgets about household chores and responsibilities, about school; the diet and sleep schedule gets completely lost, the child begins to neglect his own health;

Signs of computer addiction in order to constantly keep himself awake, the teenager begins to abuse coffee; food intake takes place without leaving the computer; when a child starts playing or working on a computer, he feels an emotional uplift; there is constant communication with people around for various computer themes; the child experiences a feeling of euphoria when at the computer; he anticipates and thinks over with all the details of his subsequent finding in the world of computer fiction, which contributes to an improvement in mood.

What to do if you suspect your child has a computer addiction? Tune in to calmly overcome the painful state Set a restriction on the mode of using the computer Make sure that the child sits down at the computer only during rest If the child promises to change behavior, but does not follow it, it is necessary to contact a specialist Enter a dialogue with the child

Parents' work to prevent computer addiction The first step is to change the stereotyped behavior. Offer your child activities that will interest him more than computer world... Look for areas of creative realization that are interesting for your child. Demonstrate an example.

Prevention of "computer addiction" To acquaint him with the temporary norms of work on the computer. Supervise the child's extracurricular activities (circles, sections). Introduce household chores. Communicate with the child daily, keep abreast of his affairs. Control and censor computer games and programs. To control that the child sits down at the computer only in moments of rest and after completing basic duties. Teach your child how to cope with negative emotions, get out of stressful situations. Do not forget that parents are role models, so do not break the rules that you set for the child (taking into account your norms).

Computer safety rules Performing eye exercises Regular breaks from computer work (every 40 minutes) The monitor should be centimeters from the user and slightly above eye level The computer is best placed in a corner Regular damp cleaning in the room

Prevention of Internet Addiction in Adolescents

    Preview:

Prevention of Internet addiction among adolescents Teacher-psychologist GBOU secondary school № 1388 Novichkova Irina Nikolaevna

The term "internet addiction" was coined by Dr. Ivan Goldberg in 1996. "Internet addiction" is a broad term for a wide variety of behavior and drive control problems. Computer addiction in adolescents manifests itself in the same way as any other type of addiction (drug addiction, alcoholism, gambling addiction, etc.) and it can be just as difficult to get rid of it.

Types of Internet addiction Computer addiction is an obsessive game of computer games (shooters - Doom, Quake, Unreal, etc., strategies like Star Craft, quests). Addiction to virtual dating is the redundancy of acquaintances and friends on the Web. The obsessive need for the Web is online gambling, constant purchases or participation in auctions. Information overload (obsessive web surfing) - endless travels on the Web, searching for information in databases and search sites. Cybersex addiction is an irresistible attraction to visiting porn sites and engaging in cybersex.

Psychological symptoms of Internet addiction An increase in the amount of time spent at the computer. Feeling good or euphoric at the computer. Inability to stop. Disregard for family and friends. Feelings of emptiness, depression, irritation not at the computer. Lies to employers or family members about their activities. Problems with work or study.

Physical Symptoms of Internet Addiction Dry eyes. Migraine headaches. Back pain. Irregular meals, skipping meals. Disregard for personal hygiene. Sleep disorders, changes in sleep patterns. Carpal tunnel syndrome (tunnel damage to the nerve trunks of the hand, associated with prolonged muscle overstrain).

The main reasons for computer addiction are the lack of communication with peers and significant people for a teenager; lack of attention from parents; lack of confidence in yourself and your strengths, shyness, complexes and difficulties in communication; the tendency of adolescents to quickly "absorb" everything new and interesting; the teenager's desire to be "like everyone else" his peers, to follow their hobbies, to keep up; the teenager has no hobbies or hobbies, any other attachments not related to the computer.

Attraction to the Internet is developing due to three main factors: Availability of information, interactive zones. Personal control and anonymity of the transmitted information. Inner feelings, which on a subconscious level establish a greater level of trust in online communication.

The main signs of Internet addiction are excessive, unjustified abuse of time spent on the Internet, not related to professional, scientific or other creative activities; the use of the Internet as the predominant means of communication; creation and operation of virtual images that are extremely far from real characteristics; attraction to Internet games and the creation of malicious programs (for no purpose); subjectively perceived inability to do without networking

The dangers of computer addiction A computer becomes a powerful stimulus and the main object for communication At first, a computer can compensate a teenager for a lack of communication, then this communication may become unnecessary at all In the process of playing or surfing the Internet, a teenager loses control of time A teenager can show aggression in case of deprivation his access to computer games The permissiveness and simplicity of achieving goals in games can affect the confidence that in real life it is just as easy and it is possible to "re-start" the game. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can occur due to neglect of food. monitor can cause visual impairment, decreased immunity, fatigue, insomnia

Dangers of computer addiction Posture problems and headaches may appear Teens stop fantasizing, the ability to create visual images decreases, emotional immaturity, irresponsibility is observed Computer addiction develops much faster than any other traditional addiction: smoking, drugs, alcohol, gambling Often a teenager may neglect his appearance and personal hygiene. Depression can occur with a long stay without a computer. Home and family fade into the background. You may have learning problems

Consequences of Internet Addiction Computer use is detrimental to physical, psychological, interpersonal and family status; Internet abuse leads to social isolation, increased depression, academic failure. And yet the most important consequence of Internet addiction is associality. That is, you no longer need to meet with your friends, if you can talk to them on Skype, there is no need to call somewhere, if you can send an e-mail, there is no need to go to a store if you can order via the Internet. The more you surf the Internet, the faster you lose your real communication skills, which means it is more difficult to get along with strangers.

Internet Addiction Therapy There is an Anonymous Help Service on the Internet offering online psychological support and a “Virtual Psychological Service”. Most experts recommend full-time individual or group psychotherapy. If the child refuses to go to a psychologist for help (and this is what usually happens), the parents themselves should turn to specialists for advice. The family is one whole. The dependence of one of its members inevitably affects everyone else. And at the same time, by starting to change yourself, you can help your child return to normal life.

Prevention of addiction to computer games Personal example of parents, if you allow your teenager to play for some time a day, then you yourself should not sit at the computer any longer. List of joint activities, games, developing street competitions. Everything should be planned so that there is no free minute. Treatment with the "beauty" of reality: to learn about the world, museums, theaters, parks, travel, communication with interesting interlocutors. Use the computer as a reward, for effective education, as a reward.

Prevention of addiction to computer games It is important to closely control the games that a teenager plays. You need to know what the game is and keep track of any deviations in the behavior of the teenager after he has played the game. Irritability, agitation, insomnia may occur. All this indicates that either the playing time has been exceeded, or the game is not suitable for the teenager. Give preference to educational games and sites. Discuss games with your teenager that you think would be more useful for him to play. Installation of special network filters and specialized software that allows you to control and limit the communication of a teenager with a computer.

It is important to know It is impossible to abruptly take away or prohibit computer games for a teenager who is already involved. It is worth doing this consistently, it is better to prepare together with a psychologist. You can take various tests on the Internet to assess your child's computer addiction and yourself. Psychologists tend to argue that any computer addiction is temporary. But is it worth waiting for this "saturation". Not all games are bad for the psyche, some contribute to the development of cognitive and moral qualities. Here crucial acquires what games are chosen.

TIPS FOR PARENTS Analyze your own system values \u200b\u200bin relation to parenting. Does it contribute to the realization of the individual in society? Be honest. All teenagers are very sensitive to lies. Assess your teen's developmental level. Avoid lengthy explanations or conversations. Try to catch the changes in your teenager in time. They can be expressed in extraordinary questions or in behavior and are a sign of giftedness. Respect your child's personality. Do not seek to project your own interests and hobbies onto him.

Develop the following qualities in your children: confidence based on your own self-esteem consciousness; understanding the merits and demerits in oneself and others; intellectual curiosity and willingness to take research risk; respect for kindness, honesty, friendliness, empathy, patience, spiritual courage; the habit of relying on one's own strengths and the willingness to take responsibility for their actions; the ability to find a common language and joy in communicating with people of all ages

Information is food for the brain We try to control what the child eats. Also, there is a need for feasible control over the information received by the child.

I chose the topic of my work - "Computer addiction in adolescents", because now computers are used for other purposes, in other words, to the detriment of myself. And what kind of harm are we talking about? How does the student use the computer? Can we fight the problems that we get from not working at the computer? Do people know about computer addiction?

    Slide 3

Based on the results of my observations, I put forward a hypothesis - "Unwise use of a computer leads to the degradation of the spiritual and moral world of youth."

    Slide 4

This project is relevant in that it, as a scientific work, explains to us all the pros and cons of computer addiction, explains in detail its reasons. I think that not only children, but also adults will be interested in such information. The goal of the project must necessarily have a real solution, otherwise, I do not see its further implementation, but this is so important not only for me, and not even for the other students, it affects different segments of the population, and the problem of computer addiction concerns not only children, but and adults. This means that my project will also be able to become an example for adults, a new goal is to explain to people about the rules of using a computer, not just reading them instructions, but to get them interested in this.

    Slide 5

    - analyze theoretical approaches to the problem; - to study the measures of prevention of computer syndrome; - to study the mode of work of schoolchildren on a computer and to identify the impact of this work on the student.

    Slide 6

As I said, each person creates the conditions for risk for himself. The computer was created by professors for good intentions, for the good of the people. But not all children can appreciate it. As for the object of my research, it is a child, and the object is a computer and such a phenomenon as "computer addiction".

    Slide 7

Active work with the computer keyboard leads to overloading of the joints of the hands, numbness of the fingertips occurs. When active work with a computer for a long time, diseases of the articular and ligamentous apparatus of the hand can become chronic

Firstly, image jerking is harmful due to low vertical refresh rate or poor scan quality of the monitor. The second most important factor in eye fatigue is image content. Let's list the options for images in ascending order from least harmful to most harmful:. The very first danger associated with working at a computer is the detrimental effect on vision. Real eye killers are games. A moving image, small elements - all this leads to such overwork that it takes very long to remove.

The second most harmful factor affecting health when working with a computer is a cramped posture. Sitting at the computer, a child (or an adult) must look at the screen from a certain distance and at the same time keep his hands on the keyboard or controls. This forces his body to take a certain position, and not change it until the end of the work. In this respect, a computer is much more dangerous than a TV, which allows you to move freely. Due to the constrained posture, the following violations occur:

If this congestion occurs in the muscles of the shoulders, back, or neck, headaches can occur as the muscles transmit "discomfort signals" to the nerves of the sensitive tissues of the face, head and scalp. Osteochondrosis. Labored breathing. This is the most insidious of all enemies. The elbows extended forward do not allow the chest to move freely, and this leads to asthma, the development of coughing attacks and other manifestations. Pain in the muscles of the back, neck and headaches. The human body is not designed to spend long hours in a fixed position. Prolonged periods of immobility reduce blood flow to the muscles, leading to a build-up of metabolic products that irritate the nerves of the muscles involved.

The third most important factor is mental stress. A computer requires as much concentration as driving a car. Interesting games require tremendous voltage, which practically does not occur under normal conditions. This area is very little studied, since modern multimedia technology has appeared only recently.

Having studied a large number of materials (Internet, literature). I learned a lot about computer addiction. Psychologists distinguish the following symptoms of psychological dependence on a computer: - well-being or euphoria at the computer; - unwillingness to be distracted from work or playing at the computer; - irritation with forced distraction; - inability to plan the end of a session of work or play with the computer; - spending big money to ensure constant updating software (including games); - forgetting about household chores, official duties, studies, meetings and agreements while working or playing on the computer; - neglect of their own health, hygiene and sleep in favor of spending more time at the computer; - the person prefers to eat in front of the monitor.

Having studied and comprehended the material received, I conducted a computer dependence test between grades 5-7. It included a variety of questions. Pupils were asked to answer how much time they spend at the computer, what work they do on it, whether they have the Internet, and if so, what sites they visit.

I conducted tests for computer addiction in 6-7 grades. 85% of children are addicted! And I concluded: What's in modern world There are a lot of adolescents who are addicted to computers, if we consider grades 5 - 7.

They had to write the whole work within 5 - 10 minutes, and the rest of the time that I allocated for all the work with the 5th grade, I devoted to reading the opinion of professors about what a computer is, I also briefly told about when and who created the first computer. In this class, 73% of dependent children. I concluded: what older child, the more it goes into the virtual world. I also prepared an assignment for grade 5. The task consisted in the fact that my friend and I handed out to each student a piece of paper on which it was written: "The computer is this" and everyone had to write their opinion on this matter, as well as everyone could write what was interesting to him. The work was calculated for 15 - 20 minutes.

Let's list the main causes of computer addiction in younger students (7-10 years old) and adolescents. Lack or lack of communication and warm emotional relationships in the family. When parents (or other close relatives) do not devote time to the child. The child has no serious hobbies, interests, hobbies, attachments that are not related to the computer. Child's inability to establish desirable contacts with others, lack of friends.

SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM I am interested, even for myself, to find out: the reasons for this dependence, the way to identify it, as well as the way to remove it from yourself as far as possible Considering the impact of computers on health, we note several risk factors: - problems associated with electromagnetic radiation; - vision problems; - problems related to muscles and joints; - stress, depression and other nervous disorders caused by the influence of the computer on the human psyche. In each of these cases, the degree of risk is directly proportional to the time spent at the computer and near it. Of course, this question should not remain unresolved, so I considered several ways to solve this problem.
