From December 19 to December 23, 2018, the 25th exhibition-fair of folk art crafts “BOAT. Winter Tale – 2018»

The exhibition-fair is organized by the Association "Folk Artistic Crafts of Russia" with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Russian Federation, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The co-organizer of the exhibition is EXPOCENTRE JSC.

At the initiative of the Association "Folk Artistic Crafts of Russia", the exhibition "BOAT" was included in the Action Plan ("Roadmap") for the preservation, revival and development of folk arts and crafts for the period up to 2019, approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 14, 2017. No. 2800-r., developed on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.

The largest exhibition of folk art crafts in the country “BOAT. Winter Tale - 2018" will open its doors on New Year's Eve. More than 1,600 craft organizations, creative associations, individually working craftsmen and artisans from 68 regions of the Russian Federation will take part in it.

"BOAT" is a creative laboratory, an authoritative professional platform where guests of the event will be able to see the richest palette of folk arts and crafts brought together from all over Russia, and crafts and crafts organizations conduct a constructive dialogue, develop compromise and effective solutions for the development of the industry, demonstrate their best goods. On the sidelines of the exhibition, specialists will be able to establish commercial contacts and find new business partners, cooperation with which will provide an opportunity to expand your business.

By tradition, world-famous centers of folk art will present their best products: Khokhloma and Gorodets wood painting, Gzhel and Kislovodsk porcelain, Veliky Ustyug niello silver, Rostov enamel, Vologda and Yelets lace, Bogorodsk woodcarving, Kubachi silverware, Kholmogory and Tobolsk carved bone, Zhostovo and Nizhny Tagil painting on metal, Skopino and Pskov ceramics, Torzhok gold embroidery, weapons of Zlatoust and Moscow craftsmen, Pavlovian cutlery, artistic weaving, embroidery, Baltic amber, etc.

The exhibition "BOAT" will be held in a new format and will be located in four halls.

In the first hall, products will be exhibited according to the industry principle: salons of porcelain and ceramics, lacquer painting, artistic wood and bone carving, metal painting, artistic weaving and carpet weaving, artistic processing of metal and leather, crystal and glass, etc.

The Central exhibition will include best work presented within Competition program exhibitions, both in the new nomination “My Horses, Horses” in the works of craftsmen, and in the traditional nominations “My Dear Capital”, “Hunting. Traditions and Modernity”, “Orthodoxy in the Works of folk craftsmen crafts", " Best Samples products developed for the exhibition "BOAT". Also in the first hall, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the exhibition of ceramics "Modern Pottery".

"City of Masters" will reveal secrets professional excellence– Leading craft artists and craftsmen will demonstrate ancient techniques for making handicrafts.

Everyone will be able to visit the presentation site of the best tourist routes in the places of traditional existence of crafts, uniting tourist complexes based on existing craft enterprises and museum, exhibition centers, sites for interactive tourism programs.

In the second hall, more than 30 regions of the Russian Federation will present their collective expositions, within which they will acquaint visitors with the history and traditions of their region and present handicrafts and handicrafts.

The third hall is a platform for free creativity of young masters, artists and designers. It will be possible to see modern author's products, ethnic models, amazing things that create mood and inspire discoveries.
