Which bus or. Choosing a vehicle: when and which one is more convenient to ride. Benefits of traveling by bus

To get route data, you just need to enter the names of the points (use the prompts in the entry form) and press "To find" - the page will display buses, trolleybuses, trams and minibuses of St. Petersburg, following through both points of interest. If you wish, you can limit your search to a specific mode of transport.

Search by number assumes that you need information about a specific route - select the mode of transport and enter the route number to go to the full information page.

The results show the direct and return routes on the map, opening hours, intervals and fares. For most routes, a bus timetable is available, with the function of printing the timetable for selected stops.

In the cards of the routes of minibuses, buses, trams and trolleybuses, data on the start and end times of movement are given, so that you can find out how long it runs and from what time the route you are interested in starts running.

By hovering over the name of the stop, you can see its mark on the map or go to detailed information. Information for a specific stop includes a mark on the map and the time of arrival of the nearest transport to this stop online... It also displays a list of routes passing through the stop along with the arrival time.

For several years, a picture-meme has been circulating on the Internet - the emotional obscene impressions of a provincial from Moscow. Among them is the phrase: "Bus 483rd, not a fig to yourself!" The logic of the numbering of urban transport is, indeed, not always obvious. The Village learned how numbers are assigned to buses, trolleybuses and trams.

Press service of the State Unitary Enterprise "Mosgortrans"

All routes of urban passenger transport in the capital have one-digit, two-digit and three-digit numbers. This numbering has developed historically and does not change. On new directions, the transport is assigned new numbers or numbers of previously canceled routes. All numbering is individual, but there are also coincidences: the routes of different types of transport can be marked in the same way. Thus, tram No. 3, trolleybus No. 3 and bus No. 3 travel around the city, but they all follow different routes.

There is no need to assign four-digit numbers to new routes yet. There are, however, bus routes No. 1001, 1002 and 1004, which previously belonged to commercial carriers. In 2013, they were transferred under the control of Mosgortrans, for the convenience of passengers, the numbers were not changed.

Sometimes, when numbering, the specifics of a particular route are taken into account. For example, in Moscow there are several "social" directions of movement, they cover educational institutions, medicine, social protection. The numbers of such routes begin with the letter C: C1, C2 and so on. There are also night routes of ground urban transport, these are buses No. H1, H2, H3. The letters are also used for shorter flights: they duplicate the busiest sections of the route. To make it easier for passengers to navigate, when entering such a route, the letter "k" (short) is added to the main number. There is, for example, bus route No. 709, which runs from the Orekhovo metro station to the Kashirskaya metro station, and there is No. 709k, which goes from the Orekhovo metro station to the Moskvorechye platform.

Konstantin Trofimenko

Director of the Center for Research on Transport Problems in Megalopolises, HSE

There is no special system for the numbering of transport in Moscow - it is a wild mixture between the route numbers of a century ago, Stalin's, Brezhnev's and numbers of the 1990s. They all layered on top of each other.

There are also routes that use letters in the designation. This may be due to the fact that the transport route was once divided into two parts. It also happens that the route forks: the transport follows the route, and then its variant, to the numbering of which the letter A is added, turns to the right. The variant without such a letter continues to follow straight. All of this is of course confusing. City navigation is not user-friendly at all. If a person does not specialize in this topic, he is unlikely to know about any routes other than those that he needs.

In Soviet times, work was regularly carried out to optimize the urban transport system. In the 90s, they stopped doing this, and now attempts are being resumed. Last year, not only the problem of numbering of transport was raised, but also the question of the need for certain routes. It happens that they lose their relevance: for example, there was a bus that took people to the plant. The enterprise was closed, and people stopped going there, while the route continues to function. Does the city need it? But, unfortunately, so far these works have not led to a positive result.

You can also plan a route manually, armed with a map, pencil and ruler. But if you find yourself on the route planner page, then another, often more convenient option is possible - laying a route online, one of which is offered to you on our site.

There are two types of routing: manual and automatic.

  • With manual routing, you plot a series of points on the map, forming an arbitrary route.
  • With automatic compilation, you need to specify the start and end points, and our service itself will lay the optimal route, calculating the shortest path, taking into account the rules of the road and the traffic situation at the moment.

On the compiled route, you will see all the roads and nearby intersections, which will be very useful for motorists and travelers. A map with a route in Moscow will allow you to plan your route and will not let you get lost in an unfamiliar place.

To create a route on a map of Moscow, enter the starting point in the first field of the form below and the end point in the second ole. Then indicate how you will travel to the final destination by clicking on the appropriate button - "By car", "On foot" or by Public transport. After that, click on the button "Show route".

Currently, there are many different ways to get to your destination. The distance between points A and B can be covered by car, bus, tram, trolleybus, taxi, etc. What is the best choice considering that you live in a large city?

Public transport

These include: trams, trolleybuses, buses, etc. First of all, it is worth noting that this type of transport runs on certain routes. You need to know what kind of bus, for example, you can get from point A to point B. It is not so difficult to do this, but then you have to walk to the point that you need.

There are also advantages to this kind of travel. You can sleep on public transport, which is important. You can also easily enjoy the panorama of the city. The cost of such trips is also low, which can not please you. Prices in different cities may vary depending on what price has been set by the city or municipal administration.

Taxi

An excellent alternative to any type of transport that runs along strictly defined routes. An example is S-Taxi. She has been working in Kiev for several years, and is as reliable as possible. This type of transport also has its own advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is excellent service and high speed of passenger delivery from point A to point B. In this case, a person only needs to name a specific address, and a taxi will take him to the desired point in the city. The only drawback of this type of transport is the relatively high cost of travel. Of course, you always have to pay for the service. For the rest, the optimal solution.

Many people use the services of illegal carriers. There are also quite a few of them in our country. Any illegal carrier is not responsible for the passenger, so it is not always justified to follow this route. In this case, a taxi remains the best option. Every driver of the company knows that next to him or behind his back there is a person for whom he is responsible. Modern navigation methods allow you to reach your destination in the shortest possible time, and this is what any passenger who decides to use such transport needs.

About commercial transport. Meanwhile, among other members of the editorial board, slightly different views on the situation arose. In this regard, we had the idea to present all points of view in one article. Which of the authors is right is up to you, dear reader.

About Us

Evgeny Mikhailov - 20 years old, student of physics. Territorially torn between Moscow and the Vladimir region. Interests: theoretical astrophysics, Vladimir history, Korean studies. I believe that, at least in Moscow, municipal transport has recently become extremely inconvenient to use, in contrast to private transport, which, on the contrary, has taken a step forward.

Mikhail Maximov - 24 years old, working, constantly using Mosgortrans. Territorially I live in the SAO. Interests: transport, work, study.

Georgy Aminiev - 20 years old, student of the Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University. Territorially I live in the north of Moscow. Interests: art photography, cars - both old and modern. I love competent tuning in cars - neon lights, aerodynamic body kit ... in short, in the automotive world there is also the concept of "beauty".

Sitting eating

Evgeny: According to one of the versions, LiAZ-677 was called a "cattle carrier" due to the fact that it had enough seating space (25). However, if you look at the models currently operated by Mosgortrans, a typical LiAZ-5256 has even fewer seats. At the same time, it is slightly larger than LiAZ-677 in size. In turn, the small "GAZelle" has as many as 15 seats, and if we talk about large "minibuses" like "Bogdan" or "Huyndai County", then in some cases there are about the same seats in them as in buses of large capacity. It turns out that if a person rides on Mosgortrans buses, he will most likely ride standing. At the same time, it is customary to ride in "minibuses" while sitting (cases of standing passengers are rare).

It turns out that Mosgortrans offers a standing trip for almost the same money, often in an inadequate SS, while Autoline and other commercial carriers offer a ride sitting in a comfortable chair.

Michael: Probably many will agree with this. However, if minibuses were removed, MGT would have a shorter interval of movement, a newer substation would be purchased. It still depends on the passengers! The more people there are, the more often the bus runs.

George:Mikhail, minibuses are unlikely to be removed in the near future, so we will have what we have. Personally, I don't care whether it's sitting or standing, and for me an almost guaranteed seating position (by the way, according to Evgeny, some models of minibuses, for example Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or IVECO Daily, are quite common lately, they normally provide for standing places) is not a reason in order to travel mainly by minibuses. MGT attracts me mainly with reduced fare - with the price of a monthly pass of 230 rubles, the average price of a trip for me is about 3 rubles. There are no benefits in minibuses ...

We pass for travel!

Evgeny: In the case of buses, trolleybuses and trams, when boarding, you must validate your ticket and proceed through the turnstile. This procedure is not very fast; as a result, the process of passage of all passengers into the cabin can take quite a long time. All this time, transport is standing, and bus and trolleybus jams are often formed near busy stops. In the case of a minibus, everyone walks in quickly and then passes the fare to the driver while driving. It turns out much quicker.

Michael: Earlier, before the introduction of turnstiles, I did not catch the bus, but now it saves me that there is always a queue for the bus at my stop and it is quite possible to catch it. On the other hand, I certainly think that turnstiles are not needed, but the solution to this problem should be large fines. In minibuses, people pass the fare to the driver. Therefore, a large number of accidents.

George: I have always considered the existing system of fare payment in fixed-route taxis to be a big drawback, which causes inconvenience to the driver, distracting him from the road, and to all passengers, who, in turn, are forced to be distracted from their possible affairs and monitor other people's money. Therefore, I try to use minibuses only in case of urgent need to avoid these inconveniences. I have long been accustomed to turnstiles in MGT rolling stock and do not consider them inconvenient. And if they are removed, it will be even better.

Speed

Evgeny: Many passengers of minibuses, including myself, noticed an interesting pattern - if you skip a bus on the same route and wait for a commercial vehicle, then the waiting time will almost certainly be compensated for by a higher speed, and you will arrive at your destination earlier. In "Mosgortrans", it seems, in principle, it is not accepted to drive faster than 30-40 km / h. In the case of "minibuses", the driver is directly interested in delivering passengers faster, since his direct income depends on it.

Michael: Well, yes, on TV we often see how quickly the "sleepy" driver delivers passengers. How many accidents, how many victims, and for what - to save 5 minutes !!!

George: I rarely use minibuses, but nevertheless sometimes I do - precisely because of the higher speed, which is the determining factor in the event of a lack of time. But still, Evgeny, 30-40 km / h for MGT are clearly underestimated figures - usually buses and trolleybuses move between stops quickly enough in the absence of traffic jams, the main braking factor is the stops themselves. Answering Mikhail's opinion, I will say that when traveling by minibuses, you should, if possible, choose the cars of official carriers, and it is also better to avoid GAZelles - all other things being equal, they are more dangerous, besides, their comfort is very doubtful.

FIAT Ducato, or hybrid of minibus and municipal bus

Evgeny: Not so long ago, state-owned fixed-route taxis of the FIAT Ducato model appeared on the streets of Moscow. In general, I take this idea positively, but there are also some disadvantages. The drivers have a clear schedule, the release on the routes is also quite strictly defined, and it is quite difficult to quickly change this in the event of any increased traffic jams. In addition, as far as I know, the fare system is almost the same as on regular buses, and Fiat drivers are not very interested in carrying passengers.

Michael: In Fiats, the fare is normal, but more frequent inspections by their inspectors are needed, as drivers often do not issue tickets.

George:Michael, you're wrong about the tickets. I use Fiats very often, and have never seen a driver give a ticket to a passenger in exchange for 28 rubles. And in general, in my opinion, I have not yet found any particularly serious drawbacks in Fiats - some advantages, moreover, both over the usual PS of "Mosgortrans" and over minibuses. The advantages over large-capacity aircraft are higher speed (sometimes due to skipping stops if there are no passengers on them and all the seats are occupied in the cabin), guaranteed seating and (partly because of this) higher comfort. Advantages over minibuses - the absence of sometimes annoying "signposting" (Fiats, like ordinary buses, stop only at stops), a good information system (voice announcements of stops and electronic route signs), benefits and a significantly reduced effect of the factor "pass for travel" from -for installed validators.

What to do?

Evgeny: Of course, I am not in favor of a drastic reduction in the number of municipal buses. But municipal buses and private traders should coexist in approximately equal conditions, and then let the passengers decide what is best for them. In Vladimir, for example, it so happened that government buses are practically absent there, and we can say that bus transport works there certainly no worse than in Moscow. Moreover, private traders work there also on large-capacity buses (not only on "kids", as in Moscow). Moreover, the inconvenient LiAZs have been replaced there by German Mercedes and MANs, and the buses run at an acceptable speed.

Michael: Personally, I think it is necessary to "impose" the highest taxes on organizations like "Autoline". Create night work schedules for Autoline so that it does not interfere with the work of city transport. Increase the fare in the minibus. The owners of minibuses are engaged in the development of taxis and the fight against private cabbies, and not in duplicating buses, trolley buses, trams. Also, all minibuses must be obliged to carry "free" passengers of Mosgortrans and all beneficiaries.

George: Here I almost completely agree with Eugene. By the way, it is precisely this policy with regard to urban transport that the new leadership will try to introduce now. Perhaps I will only add that it is important to keep track of what kind of rolling stock is purchased, how comfortable and convenient it is for both the passenger and the employee of the transport company, as well as the pricing policy, not allowing too much increase in fares.
