Which bus or Choosing a vehicle: when and which one is more convenient to go. Benefits of traveling by bus

To get route data, you just need to enter the names of the points (use the hints of the input form) and press "Find"- the page will display buses, trolleybuses, trams and minibuses of St. Petersburg, following through both points of interest to you. If you wish, you can limit the search to a specific mode of transport.

Search by number suggests that you need to get information about a specific route - select the type of transport and enter the route number to go to the page with full information.

The results show direct and return routes on the map, operating hours, travel intervals and fares. For most routes, a bus schedule is available by time, with the function of printing a schedule for selected stops.

The route cards of minibuses, buses, trams and trolleybuses provide data on the start and end times of the movement, so that you can find out how long the route you are interested in runs and from what time it starts.

By hovering over the name of the stop, you can see its mark on the map or go to the detailed information. Information on a particular stop includes a mark on the map and time of arrival of the nearest transport to this stop online. A list of routes passing through the stop is also displayed with an indication of the time of arrival.

For several years, a picture-meme has been circulating on the Internet - emotional obscene impressions of a provincial from Moscow. Among them there is also the phrase: “Bus 483, don’t give a damn!” The logic of urban transport numbering is, indeed, not always obvious. The Village found out by what principle numbers are assigned to buses, trolleybuses and trams.

Press Service of State Unitary Enterprise "Mosgortrans"

All routes of urban passenger transport of the capital have one-digit, two-digit and three-digit numbers. This numbering has developed historically and does not change. On new directions, transport is assigned new numbers or numbers of previously canceled routes. All numbering is individual, but there are also coincidences: routes can be marked the same way different types transport. So, tram number 3, trolleybus number 3 and bus number 3 travel around the city, but they all follow different routes.

There is no need to assign four-digit numbers to new routes yet. There are, however, bus routes No. 1001, 1002 and 1004, which previously belonged to commercial carriers. In 2013, they were transferred under the management of Mosgortrans, for the convenience of passengers, the numbers were not changed.

Sometimes the numbering takes into account the specifics of a particular route. For example, in Moscow there are several "social" directions of movement, they cover institutions of education, medicine, social protection. The numbers of such routes begin with the letter C: C1, C2, and so on. There are also night routes of ground urban transport, these are buses No. H1, H2, H3. Letters are also used for shortened flights: they duplicate the busiest sections of the route. To make it easier for passengers to navigate, when entering such a route, the letter “k” (short) is added to the main number. There is, for example, bus route No. 709, following from the Orekhovo metro station to the Kashirskaya metro station, and there is No. 709k, which goes from the Orekhovo metro station to the Moskvorechye platform.

Konstantin Trofimenko

Director, Center for Research on Transport Problems in Megacities, Higher School of Economics

There is no special transport numbering system in Moscow - it is a wild mixture between hundred-year-old route numbers, Stalinist, Brezhnev and 1990s numbers. They all piled on top of each other.

There are also routes that use letters in their designation. This may be due to the fact that once the transport route was divided into two parts. It also happens that the route forks: the transport follows the route, and then its version, to the numbering of which the letter A is added, turns right. The variant without such a letter continues to follow straight ahead. All this, of course, causes confusion. City navigation is absolutely not user-friendly. If a person does not specialize in this topic, he is unlikely to know about any routes other than those that he needs.

AT Soviet times regularly carried out work to optimize the urban transport system. In the 90s, they stopped doing this, and now attempts are being resumed. Last year, not only the problem of transport numbering was raised, but also the question of the need for certain routes. It happens that they lose their relevance: for example, there was a bus that took people to the factory. The enterprise was closed, and people stopped going there, but the route continues to function. Does the city need it? But, unfortunately, so far these works have not led to a positive result.

You can also lay the route manually, armed with a map, pencil and ruler. But if you ended up on the route planner page, then another, often more convenient option is possible - laying a route online, one of which is offered to you on our site.

There are two types of routing: manual and automatic.

  • With manual laying, you put on the map a series of points that form an arbitrary route.
  • With automatic compilation, you need to specify the start and end points, and our service will lay the best route by itself, calculating the shortest path, taking into account the rules traffic and current traffic situation.

On the compiled route, you will see all the roads and nearby intersections, which will be very useful for motorists and travelers. A map with a route in the city of Moscow will allow you to plan a route and will not let you get lost in an unfamiliar place.

To create a route on the map of the city of Moscow, enter the starting point in the first field of the form below and the end point in the second field. Then indicate how you will move to ultimate goal by clicking on the appropriate button - "By Car", "On Foot" or by Public Transport". After that, click on the "Show Route" button.

Nowadays, there are many different ways to get to your destination. The distance between points A and B can be covered by car, bus, tram, trolleybus, taxi, etc. What is the best choice, based on the fact that you live in a large city?

Public transport

These include: trams, trolleybuses, buses, etc. First of all, it is worth noting that this type of transport runs along certain routes. You need to know what kind of bus, for example, you can get from point A to point B. This is not so difficult to do, but then you have to walk to the point you need.

There are also advantages to this kind of travel. AT public transport you can sleep, which is important. Also, you can easily enjoy the panorama of the city. The cost of such trips is also low, which cannot but rejoice. Prices in different cities may vary depending on the cost set by the administration of the city or municipal district.

Taxi

An excellent alternative to any type of transport that runs on strictly defined routes. An example is the company "S-Taxi". It has been working in Kyiv for several years, and is the most reliable. This mode of transport also has its advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is the excellent service and high speed delivery of a passenger from point A to point B. In this case, a person only needs to name a specific address, and a taxi will take him to the desired point in the city. The only disadvantage of this type of transport is the relatively high fare. Of course, you always have to pay for the service. Other than that, the best solution.

Many use the services of illegal carriers. There are quite a few of them in our country as well. Any illegal carrier is not responsible for the passenger, therefore it is not always justified to follow this particular route. Taxi is the best option in this case. Each driver of the company knows that next to him or behind his back is a person for whom he is responsible. Modern methods navigation allows you to get to the end point in the shortest possible time, and this is what any passenger who decides to use such transport needs.

about commercial vehicles. Meanwhile, among the other members of the editorial board, there were somewhat different views on the situation. In this regard, we had the idea to present all points of view in one article. Which of the authors is right is for you to judge, dear reader.

About Us

Evgeny Mikhailov - 20 years old, physics student. Territorially I am torn between Moscow and the Vladimir region. Interests Key words: theoretical astrophysics, Vladimir history, Korean studies. I believe that, at least in Moscow, municipal transport has recently become extremely inconvenient to use, in contrast to private transport, which, on the contrary, has taken a step forward.

Mikhail Maksimov - 24 years old, working, constantly using Mosgortrans. Territorially I live in SA. Interests: transport, work, study.

Georgy Aminiev - 20 years old, student of the Faculty of Physics of Moscow State University. Territorially I live in the north of Moscow. Interests: art photography, cars - both vintage and modern. I love competent tuning in cars - neon lights, aerodynamic body kit ... in short, in the automotive world there is also the concept of "beauty".

sitting food

Evgeniy: According to one version, the LiAZ-677 was called a "livestock truck" due to the fact that there were quite a few seats in it (25). However, if you look at the models currently operated by Mosgortrans, then a typical LiAZ-5256 has even less seats. At the same time, it is somewhat larger than the LiAZ-677 in size. In turn, the small GAZelle has as many as 15 seats, and if we talk about large minibuses like Bogdan or Huyndai County, then in some cases there are about the same number of seats as in large-capacity buses. It turns out that if a person rides on Mosgortrans buses, then he will most likely ride standing up. At the same time, it is customary to ride in “minibuses” while sitting (cases of standing passengers are rare).

It turns out that "Mosgortrans" offers almost the same money offers a trip standing up, often in the PS improper condition, while Autoline and other commercial carriers offer a ride while sitting in a comfortable chair.

Michael: Many will probably agree with this. However, if minibuses were removed, then the MGT would have a shorter interval of movement, a newer substation would be purchased. It all depends on the passengers! The more people, the more often the bus runs.

George: Mikhail, minibuses are unlikely to be removed in the near future, so we will have what we have. Personally, I don’t care whether I’m sitting or standing, and for me an almost guaranteed seat (by the way, according to Evgeny, some models of minibuses, for example, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or IVECO Daily, which have recently been quite common, provide standing places on a regular basis) is not a reason in order to travel mainly by minibuses. MHT attracts me mainly discount travel- at the price of a monthly pass of 230 rubles, the average price of a trip for me is about 3 rubles. There are no concessions on the bus...

We pass for travel!

Evgeniy: In the case of buses, trolleybuses and trams, when boarding, you must validate your ticket and proceed through the turnstile. This procedure is not very fast, as a result, the process of passage of all passengers into the cabin can stretch for quite a long time. All this time, transport has been standing still, and bus and trolleybus traffic jams often form near busy stops. In the case of a fixed-route taxi, everyone enters quickly, and then, in the process of moving, they pass the fare to the driver. It turns out much quicker.

Michael: Previously, before the introduction of turnstiles, I did not have time for the bus, but now it saves the fact that there is always a queue for the bus at my stop and it is quite possible to catch it. On the other hand, I certainly believe that turnstiles are not needed, but the solution to this problem should be large fines. In minibuses, people pass the fare to the driver. Therefore, a large number of accidents.

George: I have always considered the existing system of paying for taxis as a big drawback, which causes inconvenience both to the driver, distracting him from the road, and to all passengers, who, in turn, are forced to be distracted from their possible affairs and monitor other people's money. Therefore, I try to use minibuses only in case of urgent need to avoid these inconveniences. I have long been accustomed to turnstiles in MGT rolling stock and do not consider them an inconvenience. And if they are removed, it will be even better.

Speed

Evgeniy: Many minibus passengers, including me, have noticed an interesting pattern - if you skip the bus of the same route and wait for a commercial car, then almost certainly the waiting time will be compensated by greater speed, and you will arrive at your destination earlier. In Mosgortrans, it seems, in principle, it is not customary to drive faster than 30-40 km/h. In the case of minibuses, the driver is directly interested in delivering passengers faster, since his direct income depends on this.

Michael: Well, yes, on TV we often see how quickly a “sleepy” driver delivers passengers. How many accidents, how many victims, and for the sake of what - save 5 minutes !!!

George: I rarely use minibuses, but still sometimes I do - precisely because of the higher speed, which, in case of lack of time, is a determining factor. But still, Evgeny, 30-40 km / h for MGT are clearly underestimated figures - usually buses and trolleybuses move between stops quite quickly in the absence of traffic jams, the main braking factor is the stops themselves. Responding to Mikhail’s opinion, I’ll say that when traveling by minibuses, you should, if possible, choose cars of official carriers, and it’s also better to avoid GAZelles - all other things being equal, they are more dangerous, besides, comfort in them is very doubtful.

FIAT Ducato, or hybrid minibus and municipal bus

Evgeniy: Not so long ago, government officials appeared on the streets of Moscow. fixed-route taxis FIAT Ducato models. In general, I am positive about this idea, but there are some disadvantages. Drivers have a clear schedule, the release on the routes is also quite strictly defined, and it is quite difficult to quickly change this in case of any increased traffic jams. In addition, as far as I know, the fare system is almost the same as in ordinary buses, and Fiat drivers are not very interested in transporting passengers.

Michael: In Fiats, fares are normal, but more frequent checks by their controllers are needed, since drivers often fail to issue tickets.

George: Michael, you are wrong about the tickets. I very often use Fiats, and I have never seen a driver not issue a ticket to a passenger in exchange for 28 rubles. And in general, in my opinion, I have not yet found any particularly serious shortcomings in the Fiats - only advantages, both over the usual Mosgortrans substation and minibuses. The advantages over large-capacity PS are higher speed (sometimes due to skipping stops if there are no passengers on them, and all seats are occupied in the cabin), guaranteed seating and (partly because of this) higher comfort. Advantages over minibuses - the absence of sometimes annoying “pointing” (“Fiats”, like ordinary buses, stop only at stops), good Information system(voice announcements of stops and electronic route indicators), benefits and a significantly reduced effect of the “pass for fare” factor due to the established validators.

What to do?

Evgeniy: Of course, I am not advocating a drastic reduction in the number of municipal buses. But municipal buses and private traders should coexist on roughly equal terms, and then let the passengers decide what is best for them. In Vladimir, for example, it so happened that there are practically no state buses there, and we can say that bus transport there certainly works no worse than in Moscow. Moreover, private traders also work there on large-capacity buses (not only on "kids", as in Moscow). Moreover, inconvenient LiAZs have been replaced there by German Mercedes and MANs, buses travel at an acceptable speed.

Michael: Personally, I think it is necessary to “impose” the largest taxes on organizations like Autoline. Create night schedules for Autoline so that it does not interfere with the operation of public transport. Increase bus fares. The owners of minibuses should be engaged in the development of taxis and the fight against private cabs, and not duplication of buses, trolleybuses, trams. Also oblige all minibuses to carry “free” passengers of Mosgortrans and all beneficiaries.

George: Here I almost completely agree with Eugene. Incidentally, it is precisely this policy in relation to urban transport that the new leadership will now try to introduce. I would only add that it is important to keep track of what kind of rolling stock is being purchased, how comfortable and convenient it is for both the passenger and the employee of the transport company, as well as the pricing policy, not allowing too much increase in fares.
