Beer, food and wine

The most popular Czech souvenir is beer. Thousands of different varieties are brewed in the country, and it is rather difficult to recommend one. There is a large selection of different game and horse meat sausages in Prague. You can buy it in supermarkets, but there is much more choice in markets and specialized butchers (there is a small meat market on Republic Square). In Prague, cosmetics are still sold, for which in Soviet years our mothers stood in line. Particular attention should be paid to Manufaktura care cosmetics: shampoos, creams, balms based on beer, wine and fruits, a series with a mojito aroma is especially popular. This cosmetics is known for its natural ingredients and has long won prestige among European ladies. Branded shops can be found in all major shopping centers, tourist districts, as well as at train stations and at the airport.

Prague shops

There are two shopping epicenters in Prague: Paris Street (luxury) and Wenceslas Square (mass market).

One of the largest and most visited shopping centers in Prague is Palladium. It is located on Republic Square in a beautiful five-story historical building - you won't be able to pass by. There are only about 200 shops and boutiques of expensive and democratic brands, mainly popular European brands: Esprit, Marks & Spencer, Benetton, H&M, Levi's, Geox, Ecco, Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste, etc.

There is another popular shopping center, Kotva, directly opposite Palladium. It is known for its good selection of jewelry and leather goods, as well as an entertainment area. There is a beauty salon, massage room, restaurants and cafes, and children can be “taken” to the playroom.

It is also worth paying attention to Karlovy Vary cosmetics based on mineral salts, which are also presented in many shopping centers and pharmacies.

Quite good shopping center - Cerna ruze ("Black Rose") - located on Na Prikope street, which is famous for its abundance of shops. The center is housed in two historic buildings from 1830-19840, there are about 50 shops and several good restaurants.

For purchases in Prague, you can get back up to 21% of the money spent. To do this, you need to purchase a product in a store that has a Tax-free shopping sticker for an amount of CZK 2001 or more. Well, how are things going in the Czech capital with shopping, such a favorite pastime of the entire female population of the planet?

We have tried to analyze this issue in as much detail as possible. First, let's see when is the most tempting time to shop in the Czech Republic?

Traditionally, two seasons of discounts are pronounced in the year, when almost all shops in the city significantly reduce the price tag for clothes and accessories:

Winter sales start almost immediately after Catholic Christmas. Approximately in the last days of December or the first days of January, and they continue until the end of February. Prices are falling for models from the autumn and winter collections.
