What is happiness essay on philosophy. What should not be forgotten is the simple truth: "everything that the government gives, it first took away"

« Every person has a sun. Just let it shine»

Socrates

Before starting my essay, I would like to write a few basic lines about this topic. It is entitled - "Happiness in my understanding", - which means that what is written below will be a purely subjective opinion. If someone who reads these words thinks differently, wants to argue about something from the essay - this is his right, but I won’t argue with him on this topic. This is my personal opinion and no one can challenge it.

Being happy means, as silly as it may sound, just decide for yourself and be that way. Undoubtedly, people are different: internally weak and strong, psychologically firmly standing on their feet and staggering on them. But, again, we are all born the same. The way we are in life depends on our upbringing, environment and other exogenous factors. I'm not saying that it's easy for everyone to be strong - life turns us the way it wants - it doesn't know compassion. Life is a blind element that, in its fury, can break your inner fortress, break your soul, turning your “I” upside down. But even in the darkest days, losing access to the light of life to the nooks and crannies of your soul is an unforgivable luxury. Yes, there are days of pain, grief, tears. It's easy to talk about them without experiencing them. But lingering grief is a mental problem that needs to be addressed. It is meaningless, they can’t change anything, they can’t console themselves in any way. And if you can change something, then this “mourning” only gets in the way.

I don't understand people who are more or less fine and unhappy. But when something happens to them, they seem to show everything: “I expected this. I told you." These people are useless whiners with self-flagellation syndrome. However, a feeling of slight dissatisfaction with oneself is the engine of progress and development. But whining and doing nothing, walking gloomy, prickly - the lot of the weak.

Every person in everyday life has everything to be happy. For everyone, this “everything” consists of different moments, events, nuances. Every new day is happiness, life is happiness, giving joy is happiness, a favorite thing is happiness ... You can always find something to be happy about.

There must be balance in everything, any extremes are fatal for a person - happiness must compensate for grief and suppress it. “There is no such thing as too much happiness!” you say. Getting drunk on the amount of happiness, getting used to it, putting on the "rose-colored glasses" of the worldview - you can miss the fatal blow of fate, be not ready for it at all. Therefore, one must be sober in joy and sorrow.

You need to appreciate what you have. Happiness is a feeling that can be controlled. It's all about our perception. I want to complete my work with the words of Cervantes: "He who does not know how to use happiness when it comes, should not complain when it passes."

Good topic for discussion. So just one thing and you can’t call happiness. Each person has his own “happiness”, his own understanding of this word. For some, happiness is some material values (bank accounts, a cool phone, a car of the latest model), and for someone spiritual values (friendship, family, love) are happiness.

Guys generally don't like to talk a lot about such topics as love, happiness, it's more about girls, but this does not mean at all that we don't think about it. Right now I'm thinking about what the word happiness means to me.

It is for me that happiness is the combination of both spiritual and material values. I am very happy when my family, friends, beloved girl are near me, but I also feel happy if I have money, or if I get a new cool phone. But still, it’s not money and some things that are more important to me, but people and their feelings. Money and things can disappear, run out, and people close to me will always be with me in my heart.

I am very happy because I have a family that loves me. There are many children who are in orphanages because their parents abandoned these children. I am also happy that I have a normal family. There are parents - alcoholics, brawlers. These parents don't care about their kids. But in my family there is no such thing and I am very happy about it.

I am happy because I have reliable and faithful friends. I know that they will always help me out if I need it. I can call them at any time and they will not leave me in trouble. I don't have many of them, but these people are "everything" for me. I am ready to give everything for my friends, if only they were happy.

I am very happy with the fact that I am healthy. I don't have fatal diseases. I can't imagine how those people who have cancer live. I can't even imagine how to live and know that you will soon die. I am also happy that I walk, see, hear. I can do my favorite things. How could I play football if I was wheelchair-bound, how could I see my family and friends if I was blind, how could I say something, confess something, if I were dumb, how could I hear the music, the ear of my beloved girl, if I were deaf? Yes, I wouldn't be able to do that. But, fortunately, I walk, I see, I hear, I speak.

I am happy that I have a place to live, something to eat, and money. I don't homeless at train stations because I have a roof over my head. I don't collect leftovers because I have food. I don't wear rags because I have something to wear. And this is also a kind of happiness for me.

But my greatest happiness is my beloved girl. She is everything to me. She is very good man and next to her I want to be better. I love to see her laugh or smile, and I especially love it when I myself am the cause of it all. I feel good and comfortable next to her. This is exactly the person for whom I am ready to move mountains, to get a star from the sky, to put the whole world at her feet. She is my miracle and she deserves it. I, like any normal guy, want to have a family and I am happy that there is such a person in my life with whom I want to create it. When I'm around my girlfriend, I'm the most happy man And I don't need anything else to be happy.

Well, in conclusion, I would like to write that everyone has their own happiness, but the most important thing is that it exists. Of course, I would like every person to understand that the soul is more important and valuable than money, expensive cars and clothes, and learn to appreciate it. Happiness is the coolest state of mind and body when everything is in harmony and balance. Happiness is when your dreams come true, when close people are near you and you understand that you are not alone, that someone needs you and is dear to you. Happiness is when you love and know that this feeling is mutual. Happiness is when you are healthy and can feel all the delights of this world (walk, see, hear, speak, feel). Happiness is doing what you love and knowing that someone needs it. Well, here I have described what happiness is for me. This is probably not all, but I mentioned the most basic.

Good luck to you all.

Often, my copywriting bureau is asked to write essays or informational texts on everyday topics. Below is an article for a copywriter portfolio. The article is sharpened under the keywords "happiness" and "philosophy". Other articles from my portfolio can be viewed.

What is happiness?

Many centuries before our era, philosophers and simple people They talked about what happiness is, how to achieve it, how to stop suffering. Happiness is harmony with oneself and the outside world, but it is not easy to achieve it. For some, happiness lies in money, and for someone in mutual love for a man / woman. Some want to dress well, have a career, have a rapport with children, and so on.

Happiness is the object of study of philosophy and psychology. Do you remember how in one famous Soviet film the hero said briefly and to the point of genius simply: "Happiness is when you are understood"? Today, psychologists have deduced their "indicators of happiness", which are as follows:

Happiness is not to be found in receiving (although that in itself is not so bad), but also in giving. It is the benefit of one's own life for the benefit of others that becomes the key to the moral satisfaction of a person. It would seem that there is not even enough time for yourself! But it is worth starting to help others, whether they be people or animals, and you will certainly have pride in your existence, pride in the realization that your life is not in vain;
- The ability to refuse what is passing. Material wealth, beautiful clothes, delicious food, jewelry, luxurious houses and cars - all this is attractive, if not for everyone, then for most of humanity. But every person in his soul understands that no matter how luxurious life is filled, all this is passing. And man is essentially a being striving for the fundamental, solid, eternal. Therefore, the desire to get hold of only material goods and opportunities are detrimental. The most valuable "goods" that are not subject to inflation are spiritual values, no matter how trite it may sound: love, self-sacrifice, mercy;
- Creation. It is possible in any sphere, be it sports, art, culture, education, home improvement. Creativity inspires, develops the soul and mind. Therefore, cases are not uncommon, and every person has heard about them, when some oligarch, entrepreneur or simply office worker suddenly takes off, gives up his career, earning money, goes on a free voyage and becomes a "free artist": he draws, photographs, writes books, writes songs. Man is a creative being, therefore creativity is a way of being in harmony with oneself;
- The ability not to feel sorry for yourself. Yes, self-pity never did anyone any good. Pity takes energy, time, and in return rewards a person with depression. Do you feel sorry for yourself? Know that thousands of people on earth are even worse, they would give a lot to be in your place even for one day. Realizing this, you will feel like a completely happy person.

Happiness is relative. If you set some material goals for yourself, make every effort to achieve them, then after the implementation of your plans, you will undoubtedly feel empty. Everything! The goal has been reached. Nothing more to strive for. It remains to take a new height and again spend resources on conquering. Instead, it is better to take a philosophical look at the world and evaluate happiness from the point of view of achieving not mercantile and temporary earthly goals, but from the point of view of self-giving, one’s contribution to change better life other people and the life of the planet.

Today we were asked to write an essay on literature: “What is happiness?”, And so, sitting in front of a notebook, I thought. But really, what is happiness and how is it measured? After a little thought, I realized that there would be no single answer to this question, because the concept of happiness is multifaceted, and each person has his own. Moreover, the state of happiness is constantly changing depending on a certain period of the life of the same person.

Essay on the topic: "What is happiness?"

Every person wants to be happy. Apparently, therefore, on all holidays and especially on birthdays, we always wish each other great and great happiness. But what is happiness? Let's try to reflect in our essay. So, for kids, happiness is mother's hugs, her love and attention. For crumbs - to be full. Every year we grow up and our needs increase, which means that the options for happiness for us expand. After all, now you can make a child happy by buying him a good and interesting toy.

Then we grow up and understand that happiness is being healthy, the joyful faces of our loved ones. Happiness is when you meet the dawn with your loved one, when you manage to achieve your goals. Happiness is when you managed to find your love, create a family, raise wonderful children. When you have true friends. Let them be few, but they are always there. Happiness is good grades in school, the opportunity to get higher education And good job. For some, it is in money and prosperity, for someone only a roof over their head is needed for happiness, someone will be happy when others are happy.

As you can see, an essay about happiness can be written and discussed for a very long time. And all because there are a lot of people on our planet and everyone sees their happiness in their own way. And it can be short-lived. For example, when they put a good mark or bought something. Or maybe long. For example, when none of the family members is sick, you live in love and understanding, everything works out for you.

As a conclusion, I will say that happiness is something beautiful and pleasant and it is not material. These are our emotions. Emotions of joy from the satisfaction of our desires or when everything is harmonious with us.

announcement:

It is good to find happiness for yourself or people close to you, but sooner or later comes the realization that everything cannot be limited to this. Happiness is participation not only in pleasures and a wonderful pastime, but also in the problems that concern each person, in order to solve them, obtaining happiness for oneself and others.

writing:

For me, the highest ideal of happiness is mutual understanding between all people, helping each other and living in harmony with the outside world. Perhaps this is a distant and unrealizable ideal of happiness, but with our work, responsiveness, and responsibility for our lives, we can at least get a little closer to this ideal.

Humanity has long been tormented by the problem of finding happiness. It doesn't matter if the individual wants happy life only for himself, his family or loved ones, or he thinks about global happiness for the whole world. One way or another, people have long been obsessed with the search for happiness, this is not surprising, because every day we face a lot of suffering, many live very poorly, nature is destroyed, people die in wars or become victims of someone's unbridled cruelty, everyone has to lose their loved ones in life. All this makes you think about whether justice is possible at all and whether the long-awaited happiness can finally come?

Even a deeply ideological person, striving to achieve universal happiness, is still inclined to seek personal happiness for himself. Only a few make up that number of those without silver who strive for world happiness, not caring about their condition and even often to the detriment of personal happiness. Such people are rather an exception that confirms the rule: a person is looking for good for himself. Someone finds it in love and family, someone in caring for others, in helping animals or people in need, someone sees happiness in material success, someone in scientific activity, in philosophy, in religion, others are intensely concerned about health, believing that the one who is healthy is happy.

However, all these things, for all their expediency and necessity, still seem to be reflections from some much greater happiness. All of the above are views. individual people about a happy personal life, but when a person's personality turns out to be very well developed, he begins to understand that it is not enough just to ensure a comfortable existence for himself or his loved ones. Then he begins to think about more significant embodiments of happiness, about how to help all of humanity, the whole world.

Of course, at the same time, one should not forget that changes in the world are achieved not with the help of beautiful abstractions and reasoning, but with real deeds, daily painstaking work. The ability to measure the available opportunities and actions with one's own dreams reveals the maturity of a person, his willingness to work to achieve the happiness he dreams of. Everyone who wants a happy life for himself and the whole world needs to show love and bring it into the world, filling it with new particles of happiness.

More essays on the topic: “What is happiness?”

This, it would seem, simple question asked by many people for many years. And there is still no unequivocal answer - what is human happiness. Everyone is free to answer in his own way - to the best of his knowledge, personal qualities, upbringing. And for everyone it will be their own, special, desired happiness. Everyone expresses it differently, so in this essay I will present only my point of view. Perhaps someone will not agree with it, someone will not like it, but I do not impose it on anyone - this is just my vision of the world ...

For some people, happiness lies primarily in material well-being. But often having acquired everything that only their heart desires, they do not find the desired happiness. Today we see many people who, like the fabulous Koshchei, "wasting over gold", but look, is this happiness? These people live in constant fear for their wealth. They enclose their houses with multi-meter fences, put bars, shutters, they seem to be buried alive, but still they do not find peace of mind. They have few real friends, most of them are attracted by the brilliance of countless treasures, they live in constant fear for their lives, they see thieves and murderers everywhere. Is this happiness?

No. But "heaven in a hut" is just a proverb. What happiness is it if a person is constantly forced to think about their daily bread? If a person does not have enough means of subsistence, then he becomes angry at life, at those who bathe in luxury, and anger and happiness are incompatible things.
Of course, everything does not always happen as I described, but don't you think that the exceptions only confirm the rule.

But the material part is only one of the components of human happiness, and not the most important one. First of all, a person needs peace of mind, moral satisfaction with his life. Without these traits, a person's life will never be happy. And spiritual happiness largely depends on the person himself. After all, in the same position different people feel and experience differently. Some of them are cheerful, purposeful, used to seeing the best in life, looking for good, not bad sides in life. Others, on the contrary, see the worst in life, do not believe in themselves, envy others, and do nothing themselves to improve their lives. Which one do you think is happier? It seems to me that a person is the blacksmith of his own happiness, the creator of his monastery, he is an artist who colors the world with his colors, he is the creator of his circle of friends, so if something is wrong in life, you should not give up, but on the contrary, you need to find in the power to change it.

It is impossible to describe the concept of “happiness”, you can describe sensations, feelings, state. The feeling of happiness can be expressed barely noticeable when you look into the eyes of a person, and they radiate joy, delight. Or “frank” happiness, when a person is able to fly, soar to the clouds, hug the whole earth.

Happiness happens when you get what you have long desired. And it happens when I saw a sunset of incredible colors or a rainbow in half the sky.

Man is a strange creature. He can remember the bad for years, and forget the good the very next day. Then how does such a person present the story of his life? Like a complete nightmare, some insults and troubles, disappointments and illnesses. Why then is such a person given life? He is the “blacksmith of his happiness”, he is the creator of his monastery, he is an artist who colors the world with his colors, he is the creator of his circle of friends. What is he complaining about?

Why, for example, does old age look so different? One old man forever in vanity, worries, he is interested in life, he is in a hurry to exchange impressions with life, he looks young, you are charged with healthy energy from him. And the other is a pensioner, in eternal envy of youth, that he didn’t manage to do anything, didn’t finish it, didn’t finish it, didn’t like it. Who's stopping you from doing it now? After all, the years go by, and you still live! Youth and maturity have gone, a wise, kind old age has come. Why do some old people love, others do not? You see one on the street and fall in love, and you run away from the other, headlong.

Happiness is available at any age. How rich the inner world of a person is, so diverse is the feeling of happiness. If the kid screams because he wants ice cream, as a result, exhausted parents buy him the coveted "Eskimo". Is the baby happy? No, although there is clear pleasure on his face. He just got that sweet morsel he wanted, and his parents would treat his sore throat afterwards, or they wouldn't be able to buy bread because the money was spent on sweets. Happiness must be inclusive. If it touches you with one side, then with the other it connects you with that which causes joy. For example, the sun is happiness: it warms billions of people, shows the world in its rays. It is one for all. Therefore, the more people are embraced by this incredible feeling, the richer they will live their lives, sharing it with others.

Some people think that happiness is elusive. Others try to find it in money, work, children, helping other people. However, one does not need to be seven spans in the forehead to understand: a person quickly gets used to everything. There is no such amount of money that would make a person happy forever, just as with children, friends, work, problems can arise that are beyond our control. And yet, in spite of that everyone can remember the moments when he was really happy.

It's funny when we talk about happiness in the future tense, it seems like an endless ocean: here you are on the shore, and now - swim, As soon as you turn back, you understand that happiness in your life is only moments, moments, bright and unforgettable. You have finally reached the goal that you have been striving for for a long time - happiness! They gave you a dog - happiness! So what to believe - dreams or experience?

I believe that happiness is instant, because "everything flows, everything changes." The same person throughout his life constantly sets new tasks, constantly achieves some results. He is moving, and his happiness is moving with him, Happiness cannot be accumulated, put aside in reserve, but it can be achieved, it can be shared. A person's happiness lies in achievements, but not those that are "for everyone", but those that are important and valuable just for him. Money, friends, work - these are just means, good helpers on the path to happiness.

The more often a person experiences happiness, the brighter, brighter and more diverse his life is. The bird of happiness is shy, it needs to be tamed. But a happy person brings love, light, joy, smiles into the world - and the world becomes better.

Dare, try, experience new sensations, discover the unknown! After all, the more interests a person has, the more versatile his hobbies and the more diverse his life, the more chances he has to be truly happy.
