As a rule, if the paints are water-based, then the varnish should be the same - acrylic water-based. This "union" will provide a durable finish.

Stained glass acrylic paints for glass are transparent, which creates an indescribable play of light.

Working with them is a little more difficult than with topcoats: you need at least a little experience with the contour. In stores you can buy one of the varieties of stained glass paints:

Well, while working on this article, I discovered many interesting points that I did not know before. I hope they will be useful to me in the near future! In the meantime, I want to demonstrate the simple transformation of a wine bottle into a pretty vase using acrylic paints. I want to warn you right away: I don't really know how to draw (or rather, until I developed this skill strongly), so don't expect something original here. Decoupage is my strong point, because there you need not draw from scratch, but paint on. But that's another song.

Following the path of least resistance, I chose a glass wine bottle, which already has raised flowers. Rather, I chose wine for my birthday, in addition to looking closely at the successful packaging.

For work I needed: a bottle, acrylic paints (I do not have any special stained-glass paints yet, there are only "sticks", but they would not quite fit here, so I did with ordinary acrylic artistic paints), a contour for glass and ceramics, brushes, liquid for nail polish remover with cotton pads, toothpicks, cotton swabs, palette, glitter and water-based acrylic varnish. At first I took sandpaper, in case the labels came off with difficulty, but it was not needed.

Soaked my vessel in hot water, adding liquid detergent to be sure.

Forgetting about the bottle for an hour and a half, I easily peeled it off all the labels. Then she degreased it with nail polish remover.

I started working with the contour. As I described above, it is useful to try to lead them on a piece of paper at first. I outlined some of my flowers. I only have silver in my arsenal, so you need to look closely to see it in the photo.

If my hand trembled somewhere, I corrected it with the help of cotton swabs and toothpicks. After waiting for the outline to dry, I proceeded to paint.
